44 'The tabernacle of the testimony was among our fathers in the wilderness, according as He did direct, who is speaking to Moses, to make it according to the figure that he had seen;
45 which also our fathers having in succession received, did bring in with Joshua, into the possession of the nations whom God did drive out from the presence of our fathers, till the days of David,
46 who found favour before God, and requested to find a tabernacle for the God of Jacob;
47 and Solomon built Him an house.
48 'But the Most High in sanctuaries made with hands does not dwell, according as the prophet said:
49 The heaven is My throne, and the earth My footstool; what house will you build to Me? said the Lord, or what is the place of My rest?
50 has not My hand made all these things?
12 And Jesus entered into the temple of God, and did cast forth all those selling and buying in the temple, and the tables of the money-changers he overturned, and the seats of those selling the doves,
13 and he said to them, 'It has been written, My house a house of prayer shall be called, but you did make it a den of robbers.'
13 And the passover of the Jews was near, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem,
14 and he found in the temple those selling oxen, and sheep, and doves, and the money-changers sitting,
15 and having made a whip of small cords, he put all forth out of the temple, also the sheep, and the oxen; and of the money-changers he poured out the coins, and the tables he overthrew,
16 and to those selling the doves he said, 'Take these things hence; make not the house of my Father a house of merchandise.'
17 And his disciples remembered that it is written, 'The zeal of Your house did eat me up;'
19 Have you not known that your body is a sanctuary of the Holy Spirit in you, which you have from God? and you are not your own,
15 and if I delay, that you may know how it benefits you to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is an assembly of the living God -- a pillar and foundation of the truth,
6 and Christ, as a Son over his house, whose house are we, if the boldness and the rejoicing of the hope unto the end we hold fast.
