12 All things are lawful to me, but all things are not profitable; all things are lawful to me, but I -- I will not be under authority by any;
41 Watch, and pray, that you may not enter into temptation: the spirit indeed is forward, but the flesh weak.'
8 Be sober, vigilant, because your opponent the devil, as a roaring lion, does walk about, seeking whom he may swallow up,
13 'And may You not lead us to temptation, but deliver us from the evil, because Yours is the reign, and the power, and the glory -- to the ages. Amen.
7 What, then, shall we say? the law is sin? let it not be! but the sin I did not know except through law, for also the covetousness I had not known if the law had not said:
16 And I say: In the Spirit walk you, and the desire of the flesh you may not complete;
13 Let no one say, being tempted -- 'From God I am tempted,' for God is not tempted of evil, and Himself does tempt no one,
13 For you -- to freedom you were called, brethren, only not the freedom for an occasion to the flesh, but through the love serve you one another,
2 and because of the whoredom let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her proper husband;
13 No temptation has taken you -- except human; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above what you are able, but He will make, with the temptation, also the outlet, for your being able to bear it.
10 for a root of all the evils is the love of money, which certain longing for did go astray from the faith, and themselves did pierce through with many sorrows;
1 Brethren, if a man also may be overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual restore such a one in a spirit of meekness, considering thyself -- lest you also may be tempted;
4 through which to us the most great and precious promises have been given, that through these you may become partakers of a divine nature, having escaped from the corruption in the world in desires.
16 because all that is in the world -- the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eyes, and the ostentation of the life -- is not of the Father, but of the world,
5 Put to death, then, your members that are upon the earth -- whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry --
4 honourable is the marriage in all, and the bed undefiled, and whoremongers and adulterers God shall judge.
21 for where your treasure is, there will be also your heart.
2 you desire, and you have not; you murder, and are zealous, and are not able to attain; you fight and war, and you have not, because of your not asking;
17 and the world does pass away, and the desire of it, and he who is doing the will of God, he does remain -- to the age.
