Paixão
4 that each of you know his own vessel to possess in sanctification and honour,
5 not in the affection of desire, as also the nations that were not knowing God,
11 Beloved, I call upon you, as strangers and sojourners, to keep from the fleshly desires, that war against the soul,
5 Put to death, then, your members that are upon the earth -- whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry --
31 Whether, then, you eat, or drink, or do anything, do all to the glory of God;
3 for there shall be a season when the sound teaching they will not suffer, but according to their own desires to themselves they shall heap up teachers -- itching in the hearing,
4 and indeed, from the truth the hearing they shall turn away, and to the fables they shall be turned aside.
26 Because of this did God give them up to dishonorable affections, for even their females did change the natural use into that against nature;
27 and in like manner also the males having left the natural use of the female, did burn in their longing toward one another; males with males working shame, and the recompense of their error that was fit, in themselves receiving.
9 and if they have not continence -- let them marry, for it is better to marry than to burn;
3 you ask, and you receive not, because evilly you ask, that in your pleasures you may spend it.
