1 Werdet nun Gottes Nachahmer als geliebte Kinder

2 und wandelt in der Liebe, gleichwie Christus uns geliebt und sich selbst für uns gegeben hat als Gabe und Opfer für Gott, zu einem angenehmen Geruch.

3 Unzucht aber und alle Unreinigkeit oder Habsucht werde nicht einmal bei euch genannt, wie es Heiligen geziemt;

4 auch nicht Schändlichkeit und albernes Geschwätz, noch zweideutige Redensarten, was sich nicht geziemt, sondern vielmehr Danksagung.

5 Denn das sollt ihr wissen, daß kein Unzüchtiger oder Unreiner oder Habsüchtiger (der ein Götzendiener ist), Erbteil hat im Reiche Christi und Gottes.

6 Niemand verführe euch mit leeren Worten; denn um dieser Dinge willen kommt der Zorn Gottes über die Kinder des Unglaubens.

7 So werdet nun nicht ihre Mitgenossen!

8 Denn ihr waret einst Finsternis; nun aber seid ihr Licht in dem Herrn. Wandelt als Kinder des Lichts!

9 Die Frucht des Lichtes besteht nämlich in aller Gütigkeit und Gerechtigkeit und Wahrheit.

10 Prüfet also, was dem Herrn wohlgefällig sei!

11 Und habt keine Gemeinschaft mit den unfruchtbaren Werken der Finsternis, decket sie vielmehr auf;

12 denn was heimlich von ihnen geschieht, ist schändlich auch nur zu sagen.

13 Das alles aber wird offenbar, wenn es vom Lichte aufgedeckt wird; denn alles, was offenbar wird, das ist Licht.

14 Darum spricht er: Wache auf, der du schläfst, und stehe auf von den Toten, so wird dir Christus leuchten!

15 Sehet nun zu, wie ihr vorsichtig wandelt, nicht als Unweise, sondern als Weise;

16 und kaufet die Zeit aus, denn die Tage sind böse.

17 Darum seid nicht unverständig, sondern suchet zu verstehen, was des Herrn Wille sei!

18 Und berauschet euch nicht mit Wein, was eine Liederlichkeit ist, sondern werdet voll Geistes,

19 und redet miteinander in Psalmen und Lobgesängen und geistlichen Liedern und singet und spielet dem Herrn in eurem Herzen

20 und saget allezeit Gott, dem Vater, Dank für alles, in dem Namen unsres Herrn Jesus Christus,

21 und seid dabei einander untertan in der Furcht Christi.

22 Die Frauen seien ihren eigenen Männern untertan, als dem Herrn;

23 denn der Mann ist des Weibes Haupt, wie auch Christus das Haupt der Gemeinde ist; er ist des Leibes Retter.

24 Wie nun die Gemeinde Christus untertan ist, so seien es auch die Frauen ihren eigenen Männern in allem.

25 Ihr Männer, liebet eure Frauen, gleichwie auch Christus die Gemeinde geliebt und sich selbst für sie hingegeben hat,

26 auf daß er sie heilige, nachdem er sie gereinigt durch das Wasserbad im Wort;

27 damit er sich selbst die Gemeinde herrlich darstelle, so daß sie weder Flecken noch Runzel noch etwas ähnliches habe, sondern heilig sei und tadellos.

28 Ebenso sind die Männer schuldig, ihre eigenen Frauen zu lieben wie ihre eigenen Leiber; wer seine Frau liebt, der liebt sich selbst.

29 Denn niemand hat je sein eigenes Fleisch gehaßt, sondern er nährt und pflegt es, gleichwie der Herr die Gemeinde.

30 Denn wir sind Glieder seines Leibes, von seinem Fleisch und von seinem Gebein.

31 »Um deswillen wird ein Mensch Vater und Mutter verlassen und seinem Weibe anhangen, und werden die zwei ein Fleisch sein.«

32 Dieses Geheimnis ist groß, ich aber deute es auf Christus und auf die Gemeinde.

33 Doch auch ihr, einer wie der andere, liebe seine Frau wie sich selbst; die Frau aber fürchte den Mann!

6 Kei tinihangatia koutou e te tangata ki nga kupu tekateka noa: na enei mea hoki te riri o te Atua e puta nei ki nga tamariki a te tutu.

7 Na, kaua koutou e uru ki ta ratou.

11 Kei uru koutou ki nga mahi huakore o te pouri, engari whakahengia.

12 He mea whakama hoki te whakahua kau, i nga mea e meinga ngarotia nei e ratou.

13 Ko nga mea katoa hoki e whakahengia ana, ma te marama e whakakite: he marama hoki nga mea katoa e whakakitea ana.

14 Koia hoki tana kupu nei, Maranga, e tenei e moe nei, ara ake i roto i te hunga mate, a ka whiti a te Karaiti ki runga ki a koe.

15 Na reira kia ata tirotiro i ta koutou haere, kei rite ki ta nga whakaarokore, engari ki ta nga whakaaro nui;

16 Hokona te taima ma koutou, he kino hoki nga ra.

17 Mo konei ra kei whakaarokore koutou, engari kia matau ki ta te Ariki e pai ai.

18 Kaua hoki e haurangi i te waina, he toreretanga hoki tena ki te he; engari kia ki i te Wairua;

26 Hei whakatapunga mana, ma rawa i a ia i te horoinga ki te wai, i runga i te kupu,

27 Hei hahi tapae mana ki a ia ano, he hahi kororia rawa, kahore he ira, kahore he korukoru, tetahi atu mea pera ranei, engari kia tapu, kia kohakore.

32 He nui tenei mea ngaro; otiia mo te Karaiti raua ko te hahi taku korero.

33 Engari kia rite ki tona aroha ki a ia ake ano to koutou aroha, to tenei, to tenei, ki tana wahine, ki tana wahine; me te wahine ano, kia hopohopo ia ki tana tane.
