1 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Sage Aaron: Strecke deine Hand und deinen Stab aus über die Flüsse, über die Bäche und Seen, und laß Frösche über Ägyptenland kommen.
2 Und Aaron streckte seine Hand über die Wasser in Ägypten; und die Frösche kamen herauf und bedeckten das Land Ägypten.
3 Da taten die Zauberer mit ihrem Beschwören auch also und ließen Frösche über das Land Ägypten kommen.
4 Da berief der Pharao den Mose und Aaron und sprach: Bittet den HERRN, daß er die Frösche von mir nehme und von meinem Volk, so will ich das Volk ziehen lassen, daß es dem HERRN opfere!
5 Mose sprach zum Pharao: Du sollst die Ehre haben zu bestimmen, auf wann ich für dich, für deine Knechte und für dein Volk erbitten soll, daß die Frösche von dir und deinen Häusern vertrieben werden und nur im Flusse bleiben.
6 Er sprach: Auf morgen! Da sprach Mose: Wie du gesagt hast; auf daß du erfahrest, daß niemand ist wie der HERR, unser Gott!
7 So sollen die Frösche von dir und von deinen Häusern, von deinen Knechten und von deinem Volke genommen werden; nur im Flusse sollen sie bleiben.
8 Also gingen Mose und Aaron vom Pharao; und Mose schrie zum HERRN der Frösche wegen, die er dem Pharao auferlegt hatte.
9 Und der HERR tat, wie Mose gesagt hatte. Die Frösche starben in den Häusern, in den Höfen und auf dem Felde.
10 Und sie häuften dieselben zusammen, hier einen Haufen und dort einen Haufen; und das Land stank davon.
11 Da aber der Pharao sah, daß er Luft gekriegt hatte, verhärtete er sein Herz und hörte nicht auf sie, wie denn der HERR gesagt hatte.
12 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Sage zu Aaron: Strecke deinen Stab aus und schlage den Staub auf der Erde, daß er in ganz Ägyptenland zu Mücken werde.
13 Sie taten also. Und Aaron streckte seine Hand aus mit seinem Stabe und schlug in den Staub auf der Erde, und er wurde zu Mücken in ganz Ägyptenland.
14 Die Zauberer versuchten mit ihrem Beschwören auch Mücken hervorzubringen; aber sie konnten es nicht. Und die Mücken kamen über die Menschen und das Vieh.
15 Da sprachen die Zauberer zu Pharao: Das ist Gottes Finger! Aber das Herz des Pharao war verstockt, daß er nicht auf sie hörte, wie der HERR gesagt hatte.
16 Da sprach der HERR zu Mose: Mache dich morgen frühe auf und tritt zum Pharao (siehe, er wird ans Wasser gehen!) und sprich zu ihm: So spricht der HERR: Laß mein Volk gehen, daß es mir diene!
17 Denn wenn du mein Volk nicht ziehen lässest, siehe, so will ich über dich und über deine Knechte und über dein Volk und über deine Häuser Hundsfliegen kommen lassen, daß der Ägypter Häuser und das Feld, darauf sie sind, voller Hundsfliegen werden sollen.
18 Und ich will an demselben Tage mit dem Lande Gosen, da mein Volk wohnt, etwas Besonderes tun, daß keine Hundsfliegen daselbst seien, damit du erfahrest, daß ich, der HERR, inmitten des Landes bin.
19 So will ich eine Scheidung setzen zwischen meinem und deinem Volk. Morgen soll das Zeichen geschehen.
20 Und der HERR tat also. Und eine Menge Hundsfliegen kamen in das Haus des Pharao und in die Häuser seiner Knechte, ja über ganz Ägyptenland; und das Land ward von den Hundsfliegen verseucht.
21 Da berief der Pharao Mose und Aaron und sprach: Gehet hin, opfert eurem Gott in diesem Lande!
22 Mose sprach: Das schickt sich nicht, daß wir also tun; denn wir würden dem HERRN, unserm Gott, der Ägypter Greuel opfern! Siehe, wenn wir dann der Ägypter Greuel vor ihren Augen opferten, würden sie uns nicht steinigen?
23 Drei Tagereisen weit wollen wir in die Wüste ziehen und dem HERRN, unserm Gott, opfern, wie er uns befehlen wird.
24 Da sprach der Pharao: Ich will euch ziehen lassen, daß ihr dem HERRN, eurem Gott, in der Wüste opfert; aber ziehet ja nicht weiter! Bittet für mich!
25 Mose sprach: Siehe, ich gehe hinaus von dir und will den HERRN bitten, daß die Hundsfliegen morgen vom Pharao, von seinen Knechten und von seinem Volke genommen werden; nur daß der Pharao uns nicht mehr täusche, indem er das Volk doch nicht ziehen läßt, dem HERRN zu opfern!
26 Und Mose ging hinaus vom Pharao und bat den HERRN.
27 Und der HERR tat, wie Mose gesagt hatte, also daß die Hundsfliegen vom Pharao, von seinen Knechten und von seinem Volke wichen, so daß nicht eine übrigblieb.
28 Aber der Pharao verhärtete sein Herz auch diesmal und ließ das Volk nicht ziehen.

5 I korero ano a Ihowa ki a Mohi, Mea atu ki a Arona, Totoro tou ringa, me tau tokotoko, ki nga wai e rere ana, ki nga awa, ki nga roto, kia haere ake ai nga poroka ki te whenua o Ihipa.
6 A ka totoro atu te ringa o Arona ki nga wai o Ihipa; na kua puta ake te poroka, a kapi ana te whenua o Ihipa.
7 A i peratia ano e nga tohunga ki a ratou karakia maori, a whakaputaina ake ana e ratou te poroka ki te whenua o Ihipa.
8 Na ka karanga a Parao ki a Mohi raua ko Arona, ka mea, Inoi atu ki a Ihowa, kia tangohia e ia nga poroka i ahau, i toku iwi hoki; a ka tuku ahau i te iwi ki te mea patunga tapu ki a Ihowa.
9 Na ka mea a Mohi ki a Parao, Kia whakanuia ake koe i ahau; ahea inoi ai ahau mou, mo ou tangata, mo tou iwi hoki, kia whakakahoretia atu nga poroka i a koe, i ou whare ano hoki, kia toe ki te awa anake?
10 A ka mea ia, Hei apopo. Na ka mea ia, Kia rite ki tau na, kia mohio ai koe kahore tetahi e rite ana ki a Ihowa, ki to matou Atua.
11 A ka mawehe atu i a koe nga poroka, i ou whare hoki, i ou tangata, i tou iwi ano hoki; a e toe ki te awa anake.
12 Na ka haere atu a Mohi raua ko Arona i a Parao: a ka karanga a Mohi ki a Ihowa, mo nga poroka i whakamuia ake e ia ki a Parao.
13 A peratia ana e Ihowa me ta Mohi i mea ai; na ka mate atu nga poroka i nga whare, i nga kainga, i nga mara ano hoki.
14 A apoapohia ana e ratou, puranga atu, puranga atu: a, piro ana te whenua.

18 A pera ana ano nga tohunga ki a ratou mahi maori, kia puta ai te kutu; kihai ia i taea e ratou; a muia ana te tangata me te kararehe e te kutu.
19 Na ka mea nga tohunga ki a Parao, Na te matikara o te Atua tenei: a ka whakapakeketia te ngakau o Parao, kihai hoki ia i rongo ki a raua: ko ta Ihowa hoki i ki ai.
20 Na ka mea a Ihowa ki a Mohi, Maranga wawe i te ata, e tu ki te aroaro o Parao; na, e haere ana ia ki te wai; mea atu ki a ia, Ko te kupu tenei a Ihowa, Tukua taku iwi ki te mahi ki ahau.
21 A ki te kahore koe e tuku i taku iwi, na, ka tukua atu e ahau nga pokai namu ki a koe, ki ou tangata, ki tou iwi, ki ou whare; e ki hoki nga whare o nga Ihipiana i nga pokai namu, me te whenua e noho nei ratou.
22 A ka wehea atu e ahau i taua ra te whenua o Kohena, e noho nei taku iwi, kei whai pokai namu a reira; kia mohio ai koe ko Ihowa ahau i waenganui o te whenua.
23 Ka whakatakoto arai ano ahau ki waenganui o taku iwi, o tou iwi: ko apopo tenei tohu meatia ai.
24 A pera ana a Ihowa; na kua tae mai nga pokai namu, tona nanakia ra, ki te whare o Parao, ki nga whare o ana tangata, ki te whenua katoa ano hoki o Ihipa; a ngaro ana te whenua i te huihuinga namu.
25 Na ka karanga a Parao ki a Mohi raua ko Arona, ka mea, Haere, meatia he patunga tapu ki to koutou Atua, ki te whenua nei.
26 Na ka mea a Mohi, E kore e pai kia pena; ka patua hoki e matou ma Ihowa, ma to matou Atua, ta nga Ihipiana e morikarika ai: na, ki te patua e matou ki to ratou aroaro nga mea e morikarika ai nga Ihipiana, e kore ranei ratou e aki i a matou ki te kohatu?
27 Ka haere matou ki te koraha, kia toru nga ra ki te ara, ka mea patunga tapu ai ki a Ihowa, ki to matou Atua, ka pera ai me tana e ako ai ki a matou.
28 Na ka mea a Parao, Ka tukua koutou ki te mea patunga tapu ma Ihowa, ma to koutou Atua, ki te koraha; otiia aua e haere rawa ki tawhiti: inoi korua moku.
29 A ka mea a Mohi, Nana, ka mawehe atu ahau i a koe, ka inoi ahau ki a Ihowa kia turere atu nga pokai namu i a Parao, i ona tangata, i tona iwi apopo; otiia kaua a Parao e tinihanga ano, a kore ake e tuku i te iwi ki te mea patunga tapu ki a Ihowa.
30 Na, ka mawehe a Mohi i a Parao, a ka inoi ki a Ihowa.
31 A peratia ana e Ihowa me ta Mohi i mea ai; i mea ia i nga pokai namu kia rere atu i a Parao, i ona tangata, i tona iwi: kihai i toe tetahi.
32 Na ka whakapakeke ano a Parao i tona ngakau i taua taima hoki, a kihai i tuku i te iwi.
