44 »Our fathers had the tabernacle of testimony in the wilderness, just as he who spoke to Moses directed him to make it according to the pattern which he had seen.
45 And having received it in their turn, our fathers brought it in with Joshua when they took the land from the nations whom God drove out before our fathers. So it was until the time of David,
46 who found favor in God's sight, and asked that he might find a dwelling place for the God of Jacob.
47 But it was Solomon who built a house for him.
48 However, the Most High does not dwell in houses made by human hands; as the prophet says:
49 Heaven is my throne,and the earth is my footstool.What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord,or what is the place of my rest?
50 Has not my hand made all these things?
12 And Jesus entered the temple of God and drove out all who sold and bought in the temple, and he overturned the tables of the money-changers and the seats of those who sold doves.
13 And he said to them, »It is written, My house shall be called a house of prayer,but you have made it a den of robbers.«
19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
13 The Passover of the Jews was at hand, and Jesus went up to Jerusalem.
14 In the temple he found those who were selling oxen and sheep and doves, and the money-changers at their business.
15 And he made a whip of cords, and drove them all, with the sheep and oxen, out of the temple; and he poured out the coins of the money-changers and overturned their tables.
16 And he said to those who sold doves, »Take these things away! You shall not make my Father's house a house of merchandise!«
17 His disciples remembered that it was written, »Zeal for your house will consume me.«
6 but Christ is faithful as a son over God's house. And we are his house, if we hold fast to our confidence and the hope of which we boast.
15 if I am delayed, you will know how one ought to conduct himself in the household of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and support of the truth.
