16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ?
17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread.
18 And as they were at table eating, Jesus said, »Truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me, one who is eating with me.«
19 They began to be sorrowful, and to say to him one by one, »Is it I?«
20 He said to them, »It is one of the twelve, one who dips bread into the dish with me.
21 For the Son of Man goes just as it is written of him, but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been better for that man if he had not been born.«
2 And during supper, when the devil had already put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to betray him,
3 Jesus, knowing that the Father had given all things into his hands, and that he had come from God and was going to God,
4 rose from supper, laid aside his garments, took a towel and girded himself.
5 After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash the disciples' feet, and to wipe them with the towel with which he was girded.
53 So Jesus said to them, »Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you.
54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.
55 For my flesh is food indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
56 He who eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him.
57 As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who feeds on me will live because of me.
7 On the first day of the week, when we were gathered together to break bread, Paul began talking to them, intending to leave the next day, and he prolonged his message until midnight.
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
33 So then, my brethren, when you come together to eat, wait for one another.
34 If anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, so that you will not come together for judgment. About the other things I will give directions when I come.
23 For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you, that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread,
24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, »This is my body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of me.«
25 In the same way he took the cup also after supper, saying, »This cup is the new covenant in my blood; do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.«
26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.
27 Whoever, therefore, eats the bread or drinks the cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of profaning the body and blood of the Lord.
28 Let a man examine himself, and so eat of the bread and drink of the cup.
29 For anyone who eats and drinks without recognizing the body eats and drinks judgment on himself.
30 That is why many among you are weak and sick, and a number of you have fallen asleep.
26 Now as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and broke it, and gave it to the disciples and said, »Take, eat; this is my body.«
27 Then he took the cup, and gave thanks, and gave it to them, saying, »Drink from it, all of you.
28 For this is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many for the forgiveness of sins.
29 I tell you, I will not drink of this fruit of the vine from now on until that day when I drink it new with you in my Fathers kingdom.«
21 When Jesus had said this, he was troubled in spirit, and testified, »Truly, truly, I say to you, one of you will betray me.«
22 The disciples looked at one another, uncertain of whom he spoke.
23 One of his disciples, whom Jesus loved, was leaning close to the breast of Jesus.
24 Simon Peter motioned to him and said, »Ask who it is of whom he speaks.«
25 Then, leaning back on the breast of Jesus, he said to him, »Lord, who is it?«
26 Jesus answered, »It is he to whom I shall give this piece of bread when I have dipped it.« And having dipped the bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon.
27 Then after the bread, Satan entered into him. Jesus said to him, »What you are going to do, do quickly.«
28 But no one at the table knew why he said this to him.
29 Some thought that, because Judas had the money box, Jesus was telling him, »Buy what we need for the feast«; or, that he should give something to the poor.
30 Having received the piece of bread, he went out immediately. And it was night.
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
22 And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, blessed and broke it, and gave it to them and said, »Take; this is my body.«
23 Then he took the cup, and when he had given thanks he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.
24 And he said to them, »This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many.
25 Truly, I say to you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God.«
14 When the hour came, he sat at table, and the apostles with him.
15 And he said to them, »I have earnestly desired to eat this Passover with you before I suffer;
16 for I tell you, I will not eat it again until it is fulfilled in the kingdom of God.«
30 And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
4 Likewise, my brethren, you have died to the law through the body of Christ, so that you may belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead, in order that we may bear fruit to God.
5 While we were living in the flesh, our sinful passions, aroused by the law, were at work in our members to bear fruit for death.
6 But now, by dying to what once held us, we have been released from the law so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit, and not in the old way of the written code.
15 For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, that those who are called may receive the promised eternal inheritance, now that he has died as a ransom to set them free from the transgressions committed under the first covenant.
16 For where a will is, there must of necessity be the death of the one who made it.
17 For a will is in force only when somebody has died, since it never takes effect while the one who made it is living.
20 Therefore when you meet together, it is not the Lord's supper that you eat,
21 for in eating, each one goes ahead with his own meal, and one is hungry and another is drunk.
22 What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and humiliate those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? No, I will not.
17 Then he took the cup, and gave thanks, and said, »Take this and divide it among yourselves;
18 for I tell you, I will not drink of the fruit of the vine until the kingdom of God comes.«
19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, »This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.«
20 Likewise he took the cup after supper, saying, »This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
51 I am the living bread which came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live for ever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh.«
21 You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons.
19 And he took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to them, saying, »This is my body which is given for you; do this in remembrance of me.«
20 Likewise he took the cup after supper, saying, »This cup is the new covenant in my blood, which is poured out for you.
7 Then came the day of Unleavened Bread, on which the Passover lamb had to be sacrificed.
8 So he sent Peter and John, saying, »Go and prepare the Passover for us, that we may eat.«
9 They said to him, »Where do you want us to prepare it?«
10 He said to them, »Behold, when you have entered the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you; follow him into the house which he enters.
11 And say to the owner of the house, The Teacher says to you: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?
12 He will show you a large, furnished upper room; there make ready.«
13 So they went, and found it just as he had told them; and they prepared the Passover.
14 When the hour came, he sat at table, and the apostles with him.
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly also be united with him in a resurrection like his.
6 We know that our old self was crucified with him so that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin.
7 For he who has died has been freed from sin.
8 Now if we died with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him.
9 For we know that Christ, being raised from the dead, will never die again; death no longer has dominion over him.
10 The death he died, he died to sin once for all; but the life he lives, he lives to God.
