28 So husbands ought also to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as Christ also does the church,
30 because we are members of his body.
4 that each one of you know how to take his own spouse for himself in holiness and honor,
5 not in the passion of lust like the heathen, who do not know God;
19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
20 you were bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.
14 For the body is not made up of one member but of many.
15 If the foot should say, »Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,« it would not for that reason be any less a part of the body.
16 And if the ear should say, »Because I am not an eye, I do not belong to the body,« it would not for that reason be any less a part of the body.
17 If the whole body were an eye, where would be the hearing? If the whole body were an ear, where would be the sense of smell?
18 But now God has arranged the members in the body, each one of them, just as he desired.
19 If they were all one member, where would the body be?
20 As it is, there are many parts, but one body.
18 Flee immorality. Every other sin that a man commits is outside the body, but the immoral man sins against his own body.
29 If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to be thrown into hell.
30 And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one of your members than for your whole body to go into hell.
2 But because of immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.
3 The husband should fulfill his marital duty to his wife, and likewise the wife to her husband.
4 The wife does not have authority over her own body, but the husband does; and likewise also the husband does not have authority over his own body, but the wife does.
25 »Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothing?
13 »Food is for the stomach and the stomach for food«but God will destroy them both. The body is not meant for immorality, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
