11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were so.
13 Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.
15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a workman who does not need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
24 Jesus said to them, »Is not this why you are wrong, that you do not know the Scriptures nor the power of God?
17 You therefore, beloved, knowing this beforehand, be on your guard so that you are not carried away by the error of lawless men and fall from your own steadfastness.
