12 But to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God
13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the Day drawing near.
7 It is for discipline that you endure. God is treating you as sons; for what son is there whom his father does not discipline?
8 If you are left without discipline, in which all have become partakers, then you are illegitimate children and not sons.
9 Besides this, we have had fathers of our flesh to discipline us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live?
10 For they disciplined us for a short time as seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness.
33 And he replied, »Who are my mother and my brothers?«
34 And he looked at those who sat in a circle around him, and said, »Here are my mother and my brothers!
35 Whoever does the will of God is my brother, and sister, and mother.«
1 Do not rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father, younger men as brothers,
2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, in all purity.
19 So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and are members of God's household,
20 having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone,
21 in whom the whole building is joined together and rises to become a holy temple in the Lord;
22 in whom you also are being built together into a dwelling of God in the Spirit.
5 so we, though many, are one body in Christ, and individually members one of another.
4 But when the time had fully come, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,
5 to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.
6 Because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, »Abba! Father!«
7 So you are no longer a slave, but a son; and if a son, then an heir through God.
26 And if one member suffers, all the members suffer with it; if one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
35 And a slave does not continue in the house forever, but a son continues forever.
5 he predestined us to be adopted as his sons through Jesus Christ, according to the good pleasure of his will,
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he freely bestowed on us in the Beloved.
14 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father,
15 from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name,
1 See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God! And so we are! The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
2 Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when he appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.
42 Jesus said to them, »If God were your Father, you would love me, for I proceeded and came forth from God; I have not come of my own accord, but he sent me.
10 So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of faith.
15 For you did not receive the spirit of bondage again to fear, but you received the Spirit of sonship by whom we cry out, »Abba, Father.«
16 The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God,
17 and if children, then heirsheirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, if indeed we suffer with him, in order that we may also be glorified with him.
26 For you are all sons of God, through faith in Christ Jesus.
27 For all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus.
