19 We love because he first loved us.
9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that through his poverty you might become rich.
5 and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood,
6 and has made us a kingdom and priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
35 Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
36 As it is written: »For your sake we are being killed all the day long;we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.«
37 No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
8 But God demonstrates his own love for us, in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.
1 See what love the Father has given us, that we should be called children of God! And so we are! The reason why the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
38 For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers,
39 nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
10 In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children;
2 and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
16 By this we know love, that he laid down his life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren.
