11 Never be lacking in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serving the Lord.
12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be faithful in prayer.
37 For with God nothing will be impossible.«
1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and there was no longer any sea.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, »Behold, the dwelling of God is with men. And he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself will be with them;
4 he will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will there be mourning nor crying nor pain any more, for the former things have passed away.«
16 All scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness;
17 so that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
12 For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, of joints and marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
12 Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.
16 Now may our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and gave us eternal comfort and good hope by grace,
17 comfort and strengthen your hearts in every good work and word.
26 But Jesus looked at them and said to them, »With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.«
66 From this time many of his disciples went back and no longer walked with him.
67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, »Do you also want to go away?«
68 Simon Peter answered him, »Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life.
69 And we believe, and have come to know, that you are the Holy One of God.«
17 So faith comes from hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but leave it to the wrath of God; for it is written, »Vengeance is mine, I will repay,« says the Lord.
28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.«
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
7 Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
17 Therefore, if any one is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.
13 Follow the pattern of sound words which you have heard from me, in the faith and love which are in Christ Jesus.
14 Guard, through the Holy Spirit who dwells in us, the treasure that has been entrusted to you.
35 Therefore do not throw away your confidence, which has a great reward.
11 I am coming soon; hold fast to what you have, so that no one may take your crown.
16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though our outer nature is wasting away, yet our inner nature is being renewed day by day.
17 For our light and momentary affliction is producing for us an eternal weight of glory far beyond all comparison,
18 while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are unseen; for the things which are seen are temporary, but the things which are unseen are eternal.
33 I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take courage! I have overcome the world.«
14 And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us.
15 And if we know that he hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.
12 Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be faithful in prayer.
7 »Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.
8 For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.
6 And without faith it is impossible to please God, for anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
6 For I am confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.
12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.
18 I will not leave you orphans; I will come to you.
23 Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who promised is faithful;
24 and let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works,
25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another; and all the more, as you see the Day drawing near.
12 I know how to be in need, and I also know how to have plenty; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and want.
13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me.
9 Let us not lose heart in doing good, for in due time we will reap if we do not grow weary.
28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who are called according to his purpose.
