8 Be sober, be alert. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.
9 But resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same experiences of suffering are being accomplished by your brethren throughout the world.
1 Then he called the twelve together and gave them power and authority over all demons, and to cure diseases.
19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.«
10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might.

19 Behold, I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall hurt you.
