7 But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus his Son cleanses us from all sin.
6 When we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly.
45 For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.«
36 And he said, »Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Take this cup away from me; yet not what I will, but what you will.«
28 so Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, not to bear sin but to bring salvation to those who are eagerly waiting for him.
2 and walk in love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God.
13 But go and learn what this means: I desire mercy, and not sacrifice. For I have not come to call the righteous, but sinners.«
46 And Jesus, crying out with a loud voice, said, »Father, into your hands I commit my spirit.« And having said this, he breathed his last.
13 Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of wickedness, but yield yourselves to God as men who have been brought from death to life, and your members to God as instruments of righteousness.
32 He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also give us all things with him?
18 »Behold, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be betrayed to the chief priests and to the scribes; and they will condemn him to death,
19 and deliver him to the Gentiles to be mocked and scourged and crucified, and he will be raised on the third day.«
14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
14 who gave himself for us to redeem us from all wickedness and to purify for himself a people that are his very own, zealous for good deeds.
13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.
3 For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures,
4 that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures,
28 And they stripped him and put a scarlet robe on him,
29 and when they had twisted a crown of thorns, they put it on his head, and a reed in his right hand. And they bowed the knee before him and mocked him, saying, »Hail, King of the Jews!«
24 For whoever desires to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will save it.
28 just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.«
