[A Psalm] of Solomon. Give the king your judgments, O God, And your righteousness to the king's son.
He will judge your people with righteousness, And your poor with justice.
The mountains will bring peace to the people, And the hills, in righteousness.
He will judge the poor of the people, He will save the sons of the needy, And will break in pieces the oppressor.
May he endure as long as the sun, And so long as the moon, throughout all generations.
He will come down like rain on the mown grass, As showers that water the earth.
In his days will righteousness flourish, And abundance of peace, until the moon is no more.
He will have dominion also from sea to sea, And from the River to the ends of the earth.
Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before him; And his enemies will lick the dust.
The kings of Tarshish and of the isles will render tribute: The kings of Sheba and Seba will offer gifts.
Yes, all kings will fall down before him; All nations will serve him.
For he will deliver the needy when he cries, And the poor, that has no helper.
He will have pity on the poor and needy, And the souls of the needy he will save.
He will redeem their soul from oppression and violence; And precious will their blood be in his eyes:
And they will live; and to him will be given of the gold of Sheba: And men will pray for him continually; They will bless him all the day long.
There will be abundance of grain in the earth on the top of the mountains; The fruit of it will shake like Lebanon: And they of the city will flourish like grass of the earth.
His name will endure forever; His name will increase as long as the sun: And men will be blessed in him; All nations will call him happy.
Blessed be Yahweh God, the God of Israel, Who alone does wondrous things:
And blessed be his glorious name forever; And let the whole earth be filled with his glory. Amen, and Amen.
The prayers of David the son of Jesse have ended.
