30 And Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, Do you understand what you read?
31 And he said, How can I, except some one will guide me? And he implored Philip to come up and sit with him.
32 Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; And as a lamb before his shearer is mute, So he does not open his mouth:
7 At that season Herod the tetrarch heard the report concerning Jesus,
17 Sanctify them in the truth: your word is truth.
6 I marvel that you{} are so quickly removing from him who called you{} in the grace of Christ to different good news,
7 which is not other [good news], only there are some that trouble you{}, and would pervert the good news of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you{} good news other than that which we preached to you{}, let him be accursed.
9 As we have said before, so I say now again, if any man preaches to you{} good news other than that which you{} received, let him be accursed.
8 And the word of Yahweh came to Zechariah, saying,
22 Seeing that Jews ask for signs, and Greeks seek after wisdom:
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness;
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
14 How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how will they believe in him whom they have not heard? And how will they hear without a preacher?
15 And how will they preach, except they be sent? According to as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news of good things!
16 But they did not all listen to the good news. For Isaiah says, Lord, who has believed our report?
17 So belief [comes] of hearing, and hearing by the word of Christ.
21 For seeing that in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom didn't know God, it was God's good pleasure through the foolishness of the preaching to save those who believe.
35 And Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him [the good news of] Jesus.
10 For Ezra had set his heart to seek the law of Yahweh, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and ordinances.
11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
4 For whatever things were written previously were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the Scriptures we might have hope.
12 For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart.
2 preach the word; be urgent in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.
16 For I am not ashamed of the good news: for it is the power of God to salvation to everyone who believes; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For in it is revealed a righteousness of God from faith to faith: as it is written, But the righteous will live by faith.
4 And going on from there he saw two other brothers, James the [son] of Zebedee, and John his brother, in the boat with Zebedee their father, preparing their nets; and he called them.
10 For as the rain comes down and the snow from heaven, and does not return there, but waters the earth, and makes it bring forth and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater;
11 so will my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
18 I testify to every man that hears the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man will add to them, God will add to him the plagues which are written in this book:
19 and if any man will take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.
9 [BET] How will a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed [thereto] according to your word.
160 The sum of your word is truth; And every one of your righteous ordinances [endures] forever.
8 And the word of Yahweh came to him, saying,
39 You{} search the Scriptures, because you{} think that in them you{} have eternal life; and those are the ones which bear witness of me;
19 And the word of Yahweh came to Jeremiah, saying,
16 All Scripture [is] inspired of God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
17 that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely to every good work.
17 For Christ didn't send me to baptize, but to preach the good news: not in wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made void.
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of private interpretation.
21 For no prophecy ever came by the will of man: but men spoke from God, being moved by the Holy Spirit.
1 The Spirit of the Sovereign Yahweh is on me; because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the meek; he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening [of the prison] to those who are bound;
2 to proclaim the year of Yahweh's favor, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all who mourn;
3 to appoint to those who mourn in Zion, to give to them a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of Yahweh, that he may be glorified.
25 But the word of the Lord stays forever. And this is the word of good news which was preached to you{}.
1 The word of Yahweh that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed worker, correctly handling the word of truth.
13 Until I come, give heed to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
2 and Paul, as his custom was, went in to them, and for three Sabbath days reasoned with them from the Scriptures,
3 opening and alleging that it behooved the Christ to suffer, and to rise again from the dead; and that Jesus, whom I proclaim to you{}, is the Christ.
5 Every word of God is tried: He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.
6 Don't add to his words, Or else he will reprove you, and you will be found a liar.
4 Then the word of Yahweh came to Isaiah, saying,
9 But you{} are an elect race, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people for [God's] own possession, that you{} may show forth the excellencies of him who called you{} out of darkness into his marvelous light:
1 The burden of the word of Yahweh to Israel by Malachi.
12 But we received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we might know the things that were freely given to us of God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in words which man's wisdom teaches, but which the Spirit teaches; combining spiritual things with spiritual [words].
14 Now the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him; and he can't know them, because they are spiritually judged.
15 And that from a baby you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture [is] inspired of God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
17 that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely to every good work.
15 And account that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, wrote to you{};
16 as also in all [his] letters, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which the ignorant and unstedfast wrest, as [they do] also the other Scriptures, to their own destruction.
25 And he said to them, O foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Didn't it behoove the Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.
