9 And Onan knew that the seed would not be his; and it came to pass, whenever he went in to his brother's wife, that he spilled on the ground, lest he should give seed to his brother.
10 And the thing which he did was evil in the sight of Yahweh: and he slew him also.
18 Wives, be in subjection to your{} husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.
19 Husbands, love your{} wives, and do not be bitter against them.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
27 And God created the man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.
28 And God blessed them: and God said to them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over every living thing that moves on the earth.
24 And David comforted Bathsheba his wife, and went in to her, and lay with her: and she bore a son, and he named him Solomon. And Yahweh loved him;
7 They will not take a woman who is a prostitute, or profane; neither will they take a woman put away from her husband: for he is holy to his God.
3 Let the husband render to the wife her due: and likewise also the wife to the husband.
4 The wife does not have power over her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband does not have power over his own body, but the wife.
14 and above all these things [put on] love, which is the bond of perfectness.
15 And let the peace of Christ rule in your{} hearts, to the which you{} also were called in one body; and be{} thankful.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you{} richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms [and] hymns [and] spiritual songs, singing with grace in your{} hearts to God.
17 And whatever you{} do, in word or in deed, [do] all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.
5 Put to death therefore your{} members which are on the earth: fornication, impurity, immoral sexual passion, evil desire, and greed, which is idolatry;
14 House and riches are an inheritance from fathers; But a prudent wife is from Yahweh.
4 [Let] marriage [be] had in honor among all, and [let] the bed [be] undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
15 See that none render to anyone evil for evil; but always follow after that which is good, both one toward another, and toward all.
27 They ate, they drank, they married, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all.
3 Your wife will be as a fruitful vine, In the innermost parts of your house; Your sons like olive plants, Around your table.
17 And Yahweh plagued Pharaoh and his house with great plagues because of Sarai, Abram's wife.
18 And Pharaoh called Abram, and said, What is this that you have done to me? Why didn't you tell me that she was your wife?
6 His left hand [is] under my head, And his right hand embraces me.
2 Contend with your{} mother, contend; for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband; and let her put away her prostitution from her face, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
25 Husbands, love your{} wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it;
26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
18 Flee fornication. Every sin that a man does is outside the body; but he who commits fornication sins against his own body.
19 Or don't you{} know that your{} body is a temple of the Holy Spirit which is in you{}, which you{} have from God? And you{} are not your{} own;
20 for you{} were bought with a price: glorify God therefore in your{} body.
21 And Yahweh God caused a deep sleep to fall on the man, and he slept; and he took one of his ribs, and closed up the flesh instead of it:
22 and the rib, which Yahweh God had taken from the man, he made a woman, and brought her to the man.
23 And the man said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she will be called a woman, because she was taken out of a man.
24 Therefore will a man leave his father and his mother, and will stick to his wife: and they will be one flesh.
2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives; but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.
3 So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she will be called an adulteress: but if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.
25 Husbands, love your{} wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it;
26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself:
29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church;
30 because we are members of his body.
14 For the unbelieving husband has been accepted in the wife, and the unbelieving wife has been accepted in the brother: otherwise your{} children would be unaccepted; but as it is they are accepted.
10 for fornicators, for homosexuals, for menstealers, for liars, for false swearers, and if there be any other thing contrary to the sound doctrine;
3 But fornication, all impurity, or greed, don't let it even be named among you{}, as becomes saints;
1 Now Sarai, Abram's wife, bore him no [children]: and she had a female slave, an Egyptian, whose name was Hagar.
2 And Sarai said to Abram, Now seeing that Yahweh has restrained me from bearing; go in, I pray you, to my slave; it may be that I will obtain [children] by her. And Abram listened to the voice of Sarai.
3 And Sarai, Abram's wife, took Hagar the Egyptian, her slave, after Abram had dwelt ten years in the land of Canaan, and gave her to Abram her husband to be his wife.
4 Love suffers long, it is kind. Love does not envy. Love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up,
5 does not behave itself unseemly, does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take account of evil;
6 does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
7 bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
2 But, because of fornications, let each have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
8 But I say to the unmarried and to widows, It is good for them if they stay even as I.
9 But if they don't have self-control, let them marry: for it is better to marry than to burn.
10 But to the married I give charge, [yes] not I, but the Lord, That the wife is not to depart from her husband,
11 but should she depart, let her stay unmarried, or let her be reconciled to her husband; and that the husband is not to leave his wife.
21 But Abijah waxed mighty, and took to himself fourteen wives, and begot twenty and two sons, and sixteen daughters.
6 I say to you{}, that even so there will be joy in heaven over one sinner that repents, [more] than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.
4 What do you{} think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine, and go to search for that which goes astray?
5 And if he happens to find it, truly I say to you{}, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety and nine which have not gone astray.
6 I say to you{}, that even so there will be joy in heaven over one sinner that repents, [more] than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.
36 Thus says the Sovereign Yahweh, Because your filthiness was poured out, and your nakedness uncovered through your prostitution with your lovers; and because of all the idols of your disgusting things, and for the blood of your sons, that you gave to them;
37 therefore look, I will gather all your lovers, with whom you have taken pleasure, and all those who you have loved, with all those who you have hated; I will even gather them against you on every side, and will uncover your nakedness to them, that they may see all your nakedness.
21 and they did not repent of their murders, nor of their witchcraft, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.
1 Sing, O barren, you who did not bear; break forth into singing, and cry aloud, you who did not travail: for more are the sons of the desolate than the sons of the married wife, says Yahweh.
5 When a man takes a new wife, he will not go out in the host, neither will he be charged with any business: he will be free at home one year, and will cheer his wife whom he has taken.
28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself:
29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church;
30 because we are members of his body.
1 And the man had sex with his wife Eve; and she became pregnant, and gave birth to Cain, and said, I have gotten a man with [the help of] Yahweh.
25 And Adam had sex with his wife; and she bore a son, and named him Seth. For, [she said], God has appointed me another seed instead of Abel; for Cain slew him.
2 Let him kiss me with the kisses of his mouth; For your love is better than wine.
22 Wives, [be in subjection] to your{} own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, [being] himself the savior of the body.
24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so [let] the wives also [be] to their husbands in everything.
3 Let the husband render to the wife her due: and likewise also the wife to the husband.
4 The wife does not have power over her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband does not have power over his own body, but the wife.
5 Do not deprive{} one another, except it is by consent for a season, that you{} may give yourselves to prayer, and may be together again, that Satan does not tempt you{} because of your{} lack of self-control.
13 If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and hates her,
14 and lays shameful things to her charge, and brings up an evil name on her, and says, I took this woman, and when I came near to her, I didn't find in her the tokens of virginity;
15 then will the father of the damsel, and her mother, take and bring forth the tokens of the damsel's virginity to the elders of the city in the gate;
16 and the damsel's father will say to the elders, I gave my daughter to this man as wife, and he hates her;
17 and, look, he has laid shameful things [to her charge], saying, I didn't find in your daughter the tokens of virginity; and yet these are the tokens of my daughter's virginity. And they will spread the garment before the elders of the city.
14 and above all these things [put on] love, which is the bond of perfectness.
29 So he who goes in to his fellow man's wife; Whoever has any sex with her will not be unpunished.
9 It is better to dwell in the corner of the housetop, Than with a contentious woman in a wide house.
4 And they said, Moses allowed to write a bill of divorce, and to divorce.
5 But Jesus said to them, For your{} hardness of heart he wrote you{} this commandment.
6 But from the beginning of the creation, Male and female he made them.
7 For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will stick to his wife;
8 and the two will become one flesh: so that they are no more two, but one flesh.
9 What therefore God has joined together, don't let man separate.
10 I will greatly rejoice in Yahweh, my soul will be joyful in my God; for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation, he has covered me with the robe of righteousness, as a bridegroom decks himself with a garland, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.
7 You are entirely beautiful, my love; And there is no spot in you.
9 The heart of man devises his way; But Yahweh directs his steps.
6 if any man is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, who are not accused of riot or unruly.
1 Now concerning the things of which you{} wrote: It is good for a man not to have any sex with a woman.
2 But, because of fornications, let each have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.
7 You{} husbands, in like manner, dwell with [your{} wives] according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your{} prayers not be hindered.
13 And he will take a wife in her virginity.
14 A widow, or one divorced, or a profane woman, a prostitute, these he will not take: but a virgin of his own relatives he will take as wife.
14 Return, O backsliding sons, says Yahweh; for I am a husband to you{}: and I will take you{} one of a city, and two of a family, and I will bring you{} to Zion:
22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor of Yahweh.
19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are [these]: fornication, impurity, sexual immorality,
20 idolatry, witchcraft, enmities, strife, jealousy, wraths, factions, divisions, parties,
21 envyings, drunkenness, revelings, and things similar to these; of which I forewarn you{}, even as I did forewarn you{}, that those who participate in such things will not inherit the kingdom of God.
36 And there was one Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher (she was of a great age, having lived with a husband seven years from her virginity,
2 The overseer therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach;
12 Let servants be husbands of one wife, ruling [their] children and their own houses well.
10 And the man who commits adultery with another man's wife--who commits adultery with his fellow man's wife--the adulterer and the adulteress will surely be put to death.
13 And if a man has any sex with a man, both of them have done something disgusting: they will surely be put to death; their blood will be on them.
4 A worthy woman is the crown of her husband; But she who brings shame is as rottenness in his bones.
24 Therefore will a man leave his father and his mother, and will stick to his wife: and they will be one flesh.
25 Husbands, love your{} wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it;
26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
3 For this is the will of God, [even] your{} sanctification, that you{} abstain from fornication;
4 that each of you{} know how to possess himself of his own vessel in sanctification and honor,
5 not by immoral sexual passion, even as the Gentiles who don't know God;
9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.
10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his partner; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and does not have another to lift him up.
11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm [alone]?
12 And if a man prevails against him who is alone, two will withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
22 Wives, [be in subjection] to your{} own husbands, as to the Lord.
23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, [being] himself the savior of the body.
5 Your two breasts are like two fawns That are twins of a roe, Which feed among the lilies.
9 You have ravished my heart, my sister, [my] bride; You have ravished my heart with one of your eyes, With one chain of your neck.
22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor of Yahweh.
10 A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies.
8 When you are invited of any man to a marriage feast, don't sit down in the chief seat; lest perhaps a more honorable man than you be invited of him,
18 And Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make a matching helper for him.
9 Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your life of vanity, which he has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity: for that is your portion in life, and in your labor in which you labor under the sun.
22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor of Yahweh.
33 Nevertheless, let each one of you{} also love his own wife even as himself; but the wife should fear her husband.
24 Therefore will a man leave his father and his mother, and will stick to his wife: and they will be one flesh.
25 And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
2 for true and righteous are his judgments; for he has judged the great prostitute, her who corrupted the earth with her fornication, and he has avenged the blood of his slaves at her hand.
9 Live joyfully with the wife whom you love all the days of your life of vanity, which he has given you under the sun, all your days of vanity: for that is your portion in life, and in your labor in which you labor under the sun.
7 Many waters can't quench love, Neither can floods drown it: If a man would give all the substance of his house for love, He would be completely despised.
4 [Let] marriage [be] had in honor among all, and [let] the bed [be] undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
6 Set me as a seal on your heart, As a seal on your arm: For love is as strong as death; Jealousy is as cruel as Sheol; The flashes of it are flashes of fire, An intense flame of Yahweh.
7 Many waters can't quench love, Neither can floods drown it: If a man would give all the substance of his house for love, He would be completely despised.
29 But it was meet to make merry and be glad: for this your brother was dead, and is alive [again]; and [was] lost, and is found.
20 But I have [this] against you, that you tolerate the woman Jezebel, who calls herself a prophetess; and she teaches and seduces my slaves to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed to idols.
24 And he spoke to them in parables, saying, There was a man who was a householder, who planted a vineyard, and set a hedge about it, and dug a wine press in it, and built a tower, and let it out to husbandmen, and went into another country.
30 And they took him, and killed him, and cast him forth out of the vineyard.
1 It is actually reported that there is fornication among you{}, and such fornication as is not even among the Gentiles, that one [of you{}] has his father's wife.
2 And you{} are puffed up, and did not rather mourn, that he who had participated in this deed might be taken away from among you{}.
32 But I would have you{} to be free from cares. He who is unmarried is careful for the things of the Lord, how he may please the Lord:
33 but he who is married is careful for the things of the world, how he may please his wife,
34 and is divided. [So] also the woman who is unmarried and the virgin is careful for the things of the Lord, that she may be holy both in body and in spirit: but she who is married is careful for the things of the world, how she may please her husband.
18 Let your fountain be blessed; And rejoice in the wife of your youth.
19 [As] a loving hind and a pleasant doe, Let her nipples immerse you at all times; And be ravished always with her love.
15 And no one who does this has part of the Spirit remaining in him; neither is such a one seeking a godly seed. Therefore take heed{} to your{} spirit; and do not betray the wife of your youth.
16 For he who hates, divorces, says Yahweh, the God of Israel, and he will cover his garment with violence, says Yahweh of hosts. Therefore take heed to your{} spirit, that you{} do not betray [the wife of your youth].
33 Nevertheless, let each one of you{} also love his own wife even as himself; but the wife should fear her husband.
4 [Let] marriage [be] had in honor among all, and [let] the bed [be] undefiled: for fornicators and adulterers God will judge.
28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself:
31 For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will stick to his wife; and the two will become one flesh.
14 Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers: for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what communion has light with darkness?
29 This is the law of jealousy, when a wife, being under her husband, goes aside, and is defiled;
30 or when the spirit of jealousy passes over a man, and he is jealous of his wife; then he will set the woman before Yahweh, and the priest will execute on her all this law.
8 You will not have any sex with your father's wife, it is your father's nakedness.
20 And you will not have any sex with your associate's wife, to defile yourself with her.

13 Meats for the belly, and the belly for meats: but God will bring to nothing both it and them. But the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord; and the Lord for the body:
14 and God both raised the Lord, and will raise up as through his power.
39 A wife is bound for as long as her husband lives; but if the husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wants; only in the Lord.
9 Or don't you{} know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Don't be deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals,
10 nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, will inherit the kingdom of God.
10 And he said, I will certainly return to you when the season comes around; and, see, Sarah your wife will have a son. And Sarah heard in the tent door, which was behind him.
11 Now Abraham and Sarah were old, [and] well stricken in age; it had ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women.
12 And Sarah laughed inside herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
1 When a man takes a wife, and marries her, then it will be, if she finds no favor in his eyes, because he has found some unseemly thing in her, that he will write her a bill of divorce, and give it in her hand, and send her out of his house.
2 When Yahweh spoke at the first by Hosea, Yahweh said to Hosea, Go, take to yourself a wife of prostitution and children of prostitution; for the land commits great prostitution, [departing] from Yahweh.
12 and if she herself divorced her husband, and marries another, she commits adultery.
17 You will not covet your fellow man's house, you will not covet your fellow man's wife, nor his male slave, nor his female slave, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your fellow man's.
14 You will not commit adultery.
32 He who commits adultery with a woman is void of understanding: He who does it destroys his own soul.
7 You{} husbands, in like manner, dwell with [your{} wives] according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your{} prayers not be hindered.
25 Husbands, love your{} wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it;
26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,
27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself:
29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church;
30 because we are members of his body.
31 For this cause will a man leave his father and mother, and will stick to his wife; and the two will become one flesh.
32 This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.
33 Nevertheless, let each one of you{} also love his own wife even as himself; but the wife should fear her husband.
