7 and when they had come across from Mysia, they assayed to go into Bithynia; and the Spirit of Jesus did not allow them;
11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you{}, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you{} hope in your{} latter end.
1 Therefore let us also, seeing we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, lay aside every weight, and the sin which does so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,
31 Whether therefore you{} eat, or drink, or whatever you{} do, do all to the glory of God.
5 But if any of you{} lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and does not upbraid; and it will be given him.
5 In Gibeon Yahweh appeared to Solomon in a dream by night; and God said, Ask what I will give you.
6 And Solomon said, You have shown to your slave David my father great loving-kindness, according as he walked before you in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with you; and you have kept for him this great loving-kindness, that you have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.
7 And now, O Yahweh my God, you have made your slave king instead of David my father: and I am but a small lad; I don't know how to go out or come in.
8 And your slave is in the midst of your people which you have chosen, a great people, who are too many to be numbered or counted.
9 Give your slave therefore an understanding heart to judge your people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this your great people?
10 And the speech pleased the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing.
11 And God said to him, Because you have asked this thing, and haven't asked for yourself long life, neither have asked riches for yourself, nor have asked the life of your enemies, but have asked for yourself understanding to discern justice;
12 look, I have done according to your word: see, I have given you a wise and an understanding heart; so that there has been none like you before you, neither after you will any arise like you.
5 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding:
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
14 Where there is no wise guidance, a people falls; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
14 And this is the boldness which we have toward him, that, if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us:
33 The lot is cast into the lap; But the whole disposing of it is of Yahweh.
16 All Scripture [is] inspired of God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
1 Now there were at Antioch, in the church that was [there], prophets and teachers, Barnabas, and Symeon that was called Niger, and Lucius of Cyrene, and Manaen the foster-brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.
2 And as they were ministering to the Lord, and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, Separate me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.
3 Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.
9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
1 He who separates himself seeks [his own] desire, And rages against all sound wisdom.
2 A fool has no delight in understanding, But only that his heart may reveal itself.
3 When the wicked comes, there comes also contempt, And with ignominy [comes] reproach.
4 The words of a man's mouth are [as] deep waters; The wellspring of wisdom is [as] a gushing brook.
5 To respect the person of the wicked is not good, [Nor] to turn aside the righteous in judgment.
6 A fool's lips enter into contention, And his mouth calls for stripes.
7 A fool's mouth is his destruction, And his lips are the snare of his soul.
8 The words of a whisperer are as dainty morsels, And they go down into the innermost parts.
9 He also who is slack in his work Is brother to him who is a destroyer.
10 The name of Yahweh is a strong tower; The righteous runs into it, and is safe.
11 The rich man's wealth is his strong city, And as a high wall in his own imagination.
12 Before destruction the heart of man is haughty; And before honor [goes] humility.
13 He who gives answer before he hears, It is folly and shame to him.
14 The spirit of a man will sustain his infirmity; But a broken spirit who can bear?
9 Then his wife said to him, Do you still hold fast your integrity? Renounce God, and die.
10 But he said to her, You speak as one of the foolish women speaks. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil? In all this did not Job sin with his lips.
17 that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely to every good work.
