1 [A Psalm] of David. Yahweh is my light and my salvation; Whom shall I fear? Yahweh is the strength of my life; Of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers came upon me to eat up my flesh, [Even] my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.
3 Though a host should encamp against me, My heart will not fear: Though war should rise against me, Even then I will be confident.
7 How precious is your loving-kindness, O God! And the sons of man take refuge under the shadow of your wings.
1 For the Chief Musician. A Psalm of David. In you, O Yahweh, I take refuge; Let me never be put to shame: Deliver me in your righteousness.
2 Bow down your ear to me; deliver me speedily: Be to me a strong rock, A house of defense to save me.
3 For you are my rock and my fortress; Therefore for your name's sake lead me and guide me.
4 Pluck me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me; For you are my stronghold.
5 Into your hand I commend my spirit: You have redeemed me, O Yahweh, you God of truth.
29 The way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright; But it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.
26 In the fear of Yahweh is strong confidence; And his sons will have a place of refuge.

1 Michtam of David. Preserve me, O God; for in you I take refuge.
5 My soul, wait in silence for God only; For my expectation is from him.
6 He only is my rock and my salvation: [He is] my high tower; I will not be moved.
7 With God is my salvation and my glory: The rock of my strength, and my refuge, is in God.
8 Trust in him at all times, you{} people; Pour out your{} heart before him: God is a refuge for us. Selah.
1 For the Chief Musician. [A Psalm] of David the slave of Yahweh, who spoke to Yahweh the words of this song in the day that Yahweh delivered him from the hand of all his enemies, and from the hand of Saul, and he said: I love you, O Yahweh, my strength.
2 Yahweh is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; My God, my rock, in whom I will take refuge; My shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
3 I will call on Yahweh, who is worthy to be praised: So I will be saved from my enemies.
3 Be to me a rock for my dwelling, to where I may continually resort: You have given commandment to save me; For you are my rock and my fortress.
8 It is better to take refuge in Yahweh Than to put confidence in man.
9 It is better to take refuge in Yahweh Than to put confidence in princes.
17 To you, O my strength, I will sing praises: For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.
9 Yahweh also will be a high tower for the oppressed, A high tower in times of trouble;
10 And those who know your name will put their trust in you; For you, Yahweh, have not forsaken those who seek you.
1 BOOK IV. A Prayer of Moses the man of God. Lord, you have been our dwelling-place In all generations.
2 Before the mountains were brought forth, Or you had ever formed the earth and the world, Even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.
1 He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High Will reside under the shadow of the Almighty.
2 I will say of Yahweh, He is my refuge and my fortress; My God, in whom I trust.
3 For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, And from the word of calamity.
4 He will cover you with his pinions, And under his wings you will take refuge: His truth is a shield and a buckler.
7 Yahweh is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
4 For you have been a stronghold to the poor, a stronghold to the needy in his distress, a refuge from the storm, a shade from the heat, when the blast of the terrible ones is as a storm against the wall.
