11 Now these were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of the mind, examining the Scriptures daily, whether these things were so.
9 For on the first [day] of the first month he began to go up from Babylon; and on the first [day] of the fifth month he came to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God on him.
10 For Ezra had set his heart to seek the law of Yahweh, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and ordinances.
15 And that from a baby you have known the sacred writings which are able to make you wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All Scripture [is] inspired of God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for instruction which is in righteousness:
17 that the man of God may be complete, furnished completely to every good work.
5 and you will love Yahweh your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might.
6 And these words, which I command you this day, will be on your heart;
7 and you will teach them diligently to your sons, and will talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
8 And you will bind them for a sign on your hand, and they will be for frontlets between your eyes.
9 And you will write them on the door-posts of your house, and on your gates.
13 Until I come, give heed to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.
105 [NUN] Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path.
8 This book of the law will not depart out of your mouth, but you will meditate on it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it: for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.
15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, an unashamed worker, correctly handling the word of truth.
1 The proverbs of Solomon the son of David, king of Israel:
2 To know wisdom and instruction; To discern the words of understanding;
3 To receive instruction in wise dealing, In righteousness and justice and equity;
4 To give prudence to the simple, To the young man knowledge and discretion:
5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsels:
6 To understand a proverb, and a figure, The words of the wise, and their dark sayings.
7 I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, When I learn your righteous judgments.
24 Jesus said to them, Is it not for this cause that you{} err, that you{} don't know the Scriptures, nor the power of God?
17 You{} therefore, beloved, knowing [these things] beforehand, beware lest, being carried away with the error of the wicked, you{} fall from your{} own steadfastness.
18 But grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. To him [be] the glory both now and forever. Amen.
1 My son, do not forget my law; But let your heart keep my commandments:
2 For length of days, and years of life, And peace, they will add to you.
6 My people are destroyed for lack of the knowledge [of God]: because you have rejected the knowledge [of God], I will also reject you, that you will be no priest to me: seeing you have forgotten the law of your God, I also will forget your sons.
97 [MEM] Oh how I love your law! It is my meditation all the day.
98 Your commandments make me wiser than my enemies; For they are ever with me.
99 I have more understanding than all my teachers; For your testimonies are my meditation.
9 [BET] How will a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed [thereto] according to your word.
10 With my whole heart I have sought you: Oh don't let me wander from your commandments.
11 Your word I have laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed are you, O Yahweh: Teach me your statutes.
13 With my lips I have declared All the ordinances of your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on your precepts, And have respect to your ways.
16 I will delight myself in your statutes: I will not forget your word.
10 Concerning which salvation the prophets sought and searched diligently, who prophesied of the grace that [should come] to you{}:
11 searching what [time] or what manner of time the Spirit of Christ which was in them did point to, when it testified beforehand the sufferings of Christ, and the glories that should follow them.
20 To the law and to the testimony! If they don't speak according to this word, surely there is no morning for them.
4 For whatever things were written previously were written for our learning, that through patience and through comfort of the Scriptures we might have hope.
18 And it will be, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he will write himself a copy of this law in a book, out of [that which is] before the priests the Levites:
19 and it will be with him, and he will read in it all the days of his life; that he may learn to fear Yahweh his God, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes, to do them;
20 that his heart is not lifted up above his brothers, and that he does not turn aside from the commandment, to the right hand, or to the left: to the end that he may prolong his days in his kingdom, he and his sons, in the midst of Israel.
39 You{} search the Scriptures, because you{} think that in them you{} have eternal life; and those are the ones which bear witness of me;
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is a light; And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
