14 The great day of Yahweh is near, it is near and hurries greatly, [even] the voice of the day of Yahweh; the mighty man cries there bitterly.
15 That day is a day of wrath, a day of trouble and distress, a day of wasteness and desolation, a day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness,
16 a day of the trumpet and alarm, against the fortified cities, and against the high battlements.
17 And I will bring distress on man, that they will walk like blind men, because they have sinned against Yahweh; and their blood will be poured out as dust, and their flesh as dung.
18 Neither their silver nor their gold will be able to deliver them in the day of Yahweh's wrath; but the whole land will be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he will make an end, yes, a terrible end, of all those who dwell in the land.
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you{} have no need that anything be written to you{}.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
3 When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape.
4 But you{}, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you{} as a thief:
5 for you{} are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness;
12 And I saw when he opened the sixth seal, and there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth of hair, and the whole moon became as blood;
13 and the stars of the heaven fell to the earth, as a fig tree casts her unripe figs when she is shaken of a great wind.
7 but the heavens that now are, and the earth, by the same word have been stored up for fire, being reserved against the day of judgment and destruction of ungodly men.
36 But watch{} at every season, making supplication, that you{} may prevail to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.
4 But you{}, brothers, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you{} as a thief:
5 for you{} are all sons of light, and sons of the day: we are not of the night, nor of darkness;
6 so then let us not sleep, as do the rest, but let us watch and be sober.
7 For those who sleep, sleep in the night: and those who are drunk, are drunk in the night.
8 But let us, since we are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for a helmet, the hope of salvation.
9 For God did not appoint us into wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away; and the sea is no more.
2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of the throne saying, Look, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they will be his peoples, and God himself with them, he will be their God:
4 and he will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death will be no more; neither will there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain, anymore: because the first things are passed away.
5 And he who sits on the throne said, Look, I make all things new. And he says, Write: for these words are faithful and true.
9 Look, the day of Yahweh comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.
9 And the great dragon was cast down, the old serpent, he who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world; he was cast down to the earth, and his angels were cast down with him.
11 Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you{} to be in [all] holy living and godliness,
12 looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be found.
29 Now from the fig tree learn her parable: when her branch has now become tender, and puts forth its leaves, you{} know that the summer is near;
32 But of that day or that hour knows no one, not even the angels in heaven nor even the Son, but the Father.
25 And there will be signs in sun and moon and stars; and on the earth distress of nations, in perplexity for the roaring of the sea and the billows;
26 men fainting for fear, and for expectation of the things which are coming upon the world: for the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
