22 that you{} put away, as concerning your{} former manner of life, the old man, that waxes corrupt after the desires of deceit;
23 and that you{} are renewed in the spirit of your{} mind,
24 and put on the new man, that after God has been created in righteousness and holiness of truth.
12 Let no man despise your youth; but be an example to those who believe, in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity.
9 [BET] How will a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed [thereto] according to your word.
10 With my whole heart I have sought you: Oh don't let me wander from your commandments.
11 Your word I have laid up in my heart, That I might not sin against you.
12 Blessed are you, O Yahweh: Teach me your statutes.
13 With my lips I have declared All the ordinances of your mouth.
14 I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, As much as in all riches.
15 I will meditate on your precepts, And have respect to your ways.
16 I will delight myself in your statutes: I will not forget your word.
11 But you, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
13 Watch{}, stand fast{} in the faith, be{} manly, be{} strong.
14 Let all that you{} do be done in love.
31 We know that God does not hear sinners: but if any man is a worshiper of God, and does his will, him he hears.
9 These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, [and] perfect in his generations: Noah walked with God.
12 But as many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe on his name:
13 who were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
6 There came a man, sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for witness, that he might bear witness of the light, that all might believe through him.
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does Yahweh require of you, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
24 Wisdom is before the face of him who has understanding; But the eyes of a fool are in the ends of the earth.
1 BOOK I. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked; and in the way of sinners, does not stand, and in the seat of scoffers, does not sit.
2 But rather in the law of Yahweh, does he delight; and in his law does he meditate, day and night.
3 And he is like a tree planted by streams of water: its fruit it yields in season, and its leaf does not wither, and in all that he does, he prospers.
4 Not so are the wicked: but rather they are like chaff, which is blown away by the wind.
5 Therefore, the wicked will not stand in the judgment; nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.
6 For Yahweh knows the way of the righteous; But the way of the wicked, will perish.
1 There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one who feared God, and turned away from evil.
