Marido e Mulher

9 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their labor.

10 For if they fall, the one will lift up his partner; but woe to him who is alone when he falls, and does not have another to lift him up.

11 Again, if two lie together, then they have warmth; but how can one be warm [alone]?

12 And if a man prevails against him who is alone, two will withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.

1 In like manner, you{} wives, [be] in subjection to your{} own husbands; that, even if any do not obey the word, they may without the word be gained by the behavior of their wives;

2 watching your{} chaste behavior [coupled] with fear.

4 A worthy woman is the crown of her husband; But she who brings shame is as rottenness in his bones.

22 Wives, [be in subjection] to your{} own husbands, as to the Lord.

23 For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the church, [being] himself the savior of the body.

24 But as the church is subject to Christ, so [let] the wives also [be] to their husbands in everything.

27 And God created the man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.

10 But to the married I give charge, [yes] not I, but the Lord, That the wife is not to depart from her husband,

11 but should she depart, let her stay unmarried, or let her be reconciled to her husband; and that the husband is not to leave his wife.

1 Now concerning the things of which you{} wrote: It is good for a man not to have any sex with a woman.

2 But, because of fornications, let each have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.

3 Let the husband render to the wife her due: and likewise also the wife to the husband.

4 The wife does not have power over her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband does not have power over his own body, but the wife.

5 Do not deprive{} one another, except it is by consent for a season, that you{} may give yourselves to prayer, and may be together again, that Satan does not tempt you{} because of your{} lack of self-control.

7 You{} husbands, in like manner, dwell with [your{} wives] according to knowledge, giving honor to the woman, as to the weaker vessel, as being also joint-heirs of the grace of life; to the end that your{} prayers not be hindered.

15 Yet if the unbelieving departs, let him depart: the brother or the sister has not been bound in such [cases]: but God has called you{} in peace.

16 For how do you know, O wife, whether you will save your husband? Or how do you know, O husband, whether you will save your wife?

33 Nevertheless, let each one of you{} also love his own wife even as himself; but the wife should fear her husband.

24 Therefore will a man leave his father and his mother, and will stick to his wife: and they will be one flesh.

18 Wives, be in subjection to your{} husbands, as is fitting in the Lord.

19 Husbands, love your{} wives, and do not be bitter against them.

18 And Yahweh God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make a matching helper for him.

14 House and riches are an inheritance from fathers; But a prudent wife is from Yahweh.

5 When a man takes a new wife, he will not go out in the host, neither will he be charged with any business: he will be free at home one year, and will cheer his wife whom he has taken.

10 A worthy woman who can find? For her price is far above rubies.

11 The heart of her husband trusts in her, And he will have no lack of gain.

2 For the woman who has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives; but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.

15 And no one who does this has part of the Spirit remaining in him; neither is such a one seeking a godly seed. Therefore take heed{} to your{} spirit; and do not betray the wife of your youth.

18 Let your fountain be blessed; And rejoice in the wife of your youth.

19 [As] a loving hind and a pleasant doe, Let her nipples immerse you at all times; And be ravished always with her love.

25 Husbands, love your{} wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and delivered himself up for it;

26 that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word,

27 that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

28 Even so ought husbands also to love their own wives as their own bodies. He who loves his own wife loves himself:

29 for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church;

4 What do you{} think? If any man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine, and go to search for that which goes astray?

5 And if he happens to find it, truly I say to you{}, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety and nine which have not gone astray.

6 I say to you{}, that even so there will be joy in heaven over one sinner that repents, [more] than over ninety and nine righteous persons, who need no repentance.

22 Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, And obtains favor of Yahweh.
