15 And he who strikes his father, or his mother, will be surely put to death.
20 My son, keep the commandment of your father, And don't forsake the law of your mother:
21 Bind them continually on your heart; Tie them about your neck.
22 When you walk, it will lead you; When you sleep, it will watch over you; And when you awake, it will talk with you.
23 For the commandment is a lamp; and the law is a light; And reproofs of instruction are the way of life:
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
17 The eye that mocks at his father, And despises to obey his mother, The ravens of the valley will pick it out, And the young eagles will eat it.
1 Hear, [my] sons, the instruction of a father, And attend to know understanding:
2 For I give you{} good doctrine; Don't forsake{} my law.
3 For I was a son to my father, Tender and only beloved in the sight of my mother.
4 And he taught me, and said to me: Let your heart retain my words; Keep my commandments, and live;
5 Get wisdom, get understanding; Don't forget, neither decline from the words of my mouth;
6 Don't forsake her, and she will preserve you; Love her, and she will keep you.
16 Honor your father and your mother, as Yahweh your God commanded you; that your days may be long, and that it may go well with you, in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
18 If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son, that will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and, though they chasten him, will not listen to them;
19 then his father and his mother will lay hold on him, and bring him out to the elders of his city, and to the gate of his place;
20 and they will say to the elders of his city, This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard.
21 And all the men of his city will stone him to death with stones: so you will put away the evil from the midst of you; and all Israel will hear, and fear.
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family, and to requite their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, And don't forsake the law of your mother:
9 For they will be a chaplet of grace to your head, And chains about your neck.

12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
4 And knowing their thoughts he said to them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself will not stand:
1 A wise son [hears] his father's instruction; But a scoffer does not hear rebuke.
20 Children, obey your{} parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.
1 Children, obey your{} parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),
3 that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
4 And, you{} fathers, do not provoke your{} children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.
