26 He who does violence to his father, and chases away his mother, Is a son who causes shame and brings reproach.
8 My son, hear the instruction of your father, And don't forsake the law of your mother:
9 For they will be a chaplet of grace to your head, And chains about your neck.
16 The fathers will not be put to death for the sons, neither will the sons be put to death for the fathers: every man will be put to death for his own sin.
22 Listen to your father who begot you, And don't despise your mother when she is old.
15 And if it seems evil to you{} to serve Yahweh, choose you{} this day whom you{} will serve; whether the gods which your{} fathers served who were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you{} dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh.

6 Sons of sons are the crown of old men; And the glory of sons are their fathers.
24 The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; And he who begets a wise child will have joy of him.
4 And, you{} fathers, do not provoke your{} children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.
1 Children, obey your{} parents in the Lord: for this is right.
2 Honor your father and mother (which is the first commandment with promise),
3 that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.
8 But if any does not provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.
12 Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you.
3 Look, sons are a heritage of Yahweh; [And] the fruit of the womb is [his] reward.
4 As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, So are the sons of youth.
5 Happy is the [noble] man who has his quiver full of them: They will not be put to shame, When they speak with their enemies in the gate.
1 The proverbs of Solomon. A wise son makes a glad father; But a foolish son is the heaviness of his mother.
20 Children, obey your{} parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing in the Lord.
20 Whoever curses his father or his mother, His lamp will be put out in the middle of the night.
24 Therefore will a man leave his father and his mother, and will stick to his wife: and they will be one flesh.
21 Fathers, do not provoke your{} children, that they not be discouraged.
6 And these words, which I command you this day, will be on your heart;
7 and you will teach them diligently to your sons, and will talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise up.
4 But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them learn first to show piety toward their own family, and to requite their parents: for this is acceptable in the sight of God.
15 The rod and reproof give wisdom; But a child left to himself causes shame to his mother.
24 He who spares his rod hates his son; But he who loves him chastens him diligently.
11 And of which of you{} who is a father will his son ask for a fish, and he for a fish gives him a serpent?
12 Or [if] he will ask an egg, will he give him a scorpion?
13 If you{} then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your{} children, how much more will [your{}] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
7 It is for chastening that you{} endure; God deals with you{} as with sons; for what son is there whom [his] father does not chasten?
