8 I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you will go: I will counsel you with my eye on you.
8 Lead me, O Yahweh, in your righteousness because of my enemies; Make your way straight before my face.
11 You will show me the path of life: In your presence is fullness of joy; In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore.
28 And we know that to those who love God all things work together for good, to those who are called according to [his] purpose.
10 Don't say, What is the cause that the former days were better than these? For you do not inquire wisely concerning this.
18 Open my eyes, that I may look at Wondrous things out of your law.
12 So teach us to number our days, That we may get us a heart of wisdom.
5 Evil men don't understand justice; But those who seek Yahweh understand all things.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinks that he is wise among you{} in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
2 When pride comes, then comes shame; But with the lowly is wisdom.
12 But where will wisdom be found? And where is the place of understanding?
13 Common man doesn't know its price; Neither is it found in the land of the living.
14 The deep says, It is not in me; And the sea says, It is not with me.
15 It can't be obtained for gold, Neither will silver be weighed for its price.
16 It can't be valued with the gold of Ophir, With the precious onyx, or the sapphire.
17 Gold and glass can't equal it, Neither will it be exchanged for jewels of fine gold.
18 No mention will be made of coral or of crystal: Yes, the price of wisdom is above rubies.
19 The topaz of Ethiopia will not equal it, Neither will it be valued with pure gold.
20 From where then comes wisdom? And where is the place of understanding?
21 Seeing it is hid from the eyes of all living, And kept close from the birds of the heavens.
22 Destruction and Death say, We have heard a rumor of it with our ears.
4 The Sovereign Yahweh has given me the tongue of those who are taught, that I may know how to sustain with words him who is weary: he wakens morning by morning, he wakens my ear to hear as those who are taught.
15 Look therefore carefully how you{} walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
5 That the wise man may hear, and increase in learning; And that the man of understanding may attain to sound counsels:
10 By pride comes only contention; But with the well-advised is wisdom.
12 For wisdom is a defense, even as money is a defense; but the excellency of knowledge is, that wisdom preserves the life of him who has it.
6 For Yahweh gives wisdom; Out of his mouth [comes] knowledge and understanding:
28 Even a fool, when he holds his peace, is counted wise; When he shuts his lips, he is [esteemed as] prudent.
28 Haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, neither is weary; there is no searching of his understanding.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter end.
5 Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding:
6 In all your ways acknowledge him, And he will direct your paths.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
6 Let your{} speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you{} may know how you{} ought to answer each one.
11 and Yahweh will guide you continually, and satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water, whose waters do not fail.
13 Happy is [the] man who finds wisdom, And [the] man who gets understanding.
28 Haven't you known? Haven't you heard? The everlasting God, Yahweh, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint, neither is weary; there is no searching of his understanding.
1 Don't boast yourself of tomorrow; For you don't know what a day may bring forth.
20 Hear counsel, and receive instruction, That you may be wise in your latter end.
15 for I will give you{} a mouth and wisdom, which all your{} adversaries will not be able to withstand or to gainsay.
9 They will come with weeping; and with supplications I will lead them: I will cause them to walk by rivers of waters, in a straight way in which they will not stumble; for I am a father to Israel, and Ephraim is my firstborn.
3 Yes, if you cry after discernment, And lift up your voice for understanding;
5 Then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, And find knowledge of God.
35 For whoever finds me finds life, And will obtain favor of Yahweh.
18 Let no man deceive himself. If any man thinks that he is wise among you{} in this age, let him become a fool, that he may become wise.
12 With aged men is wisdom, And in length of days understanding.
13 With [God] is wisdom and might; He has counsel and understanding.
5 But if any of you{} lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and does not upbraid; and it will be given him.
1 Then Job answered and said,
2 Of a truth I know that it is so: But how can common man be just with God?
3 If he is pleased to contend with him, He can't answer him one of a thousand.
4 [He is] wise in heart, and mighty in strength: Who has hardened himself against him, and prospered?-
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
17 Now as for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in all learning and wisdom: and Daniel had understanding in all visions and dreams.
5 and you{} have forgotten the exhortation which reasons with you{} as with sons, My son, do not regard lightly the chastening of the Lord, Nor faint when you are reproved of him;
6 For whom the Lord loves he chastens, And scourges every son whom he receives.
1 Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they don't look to the Holy One of Israel, neither seek Yahweh!
2 Yet he also is wise, and will bring evil, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of those who work iniquity.
33 The fear of Yahweh is the instruction of wisdom; And before honor [goes] humility.
8 He who gets wisdom loves his own soul: He who keeps understanding will find good.
15 Look therefore carefully how you{} walk, not as unwise, but as wise;
16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
9 For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your{} ways, and my thoughts than your{} thoughts.
23 whatever you{} do, work heartily, as to the Lord, and not to men;
24 knowing that from the Lord you{} will receive the recompense of the inheritance: you{} serve as slaves to the Lord Christ.
2 And the Spirit of Yahweh will rest on him, the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of Yahweh.
3 And his delight will be in the fear of Yahweh; and he will not judge after the sight of his eyes, neither decide after the hearing of his ears;
27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to whom be the glory forever. Amen.
29 This also comes forth from Yahweh of hosts, who is wonderful in counsel, and excellent in wisdom.
8 The wise in heart will receive commandments; But a prating fool will fall.
24 O Yahweh, how manifold are your works! In wisdom you have made them all: The earth is full of your riches.
7 Don't be wise in your own eyes; Fear Yahweh, and depart from evil:
30 The mouth of the righteous talks of wisdom, And his tongue speaks justice.
12 He has made the earth by his power, he has established the world by his wisdom, and by his understanding he has stretched out the heavens:
3 He who guards his mouth keeps his life; [But] he who opens his lips wide will have destruction.
10 Whatever your hand finds to do, do [it] with your might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in Sheol, where you go.
24 You will guide me with your counsel, And afterward receive me to glory.
2 that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and to all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, [even] Christ,
3 in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.
6 and said to the judges, Consider what you{} do: for you{} do not judge for man, but for Yahweh; and [he is] with you{} in the judgment.
16 How much better it is to get wisdom than gold! Yes, to get understanding is rather to be chosen than silver.
26 For to [the] man who pleases him [God] gives wisdom, and knowledge, and joy; but to the sinner he gives travail, to gather and to heap up, that he may give to him who pleases God. This also is vanity and a striving after wind.
105 [NUN] Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path.
11 Teach me your way, O Yahweh; And lead me in a plain path, Because of my enemies.
23 I thank you, and praise you, O you God of my fathers, who have given me wisdom and might, and have now made known to me what we desired of you; for you have made known to us the king's matter.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
5 But if any of you{} lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and does not upbraid; and it will be given him.
5 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time.
6 Let your{} speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that you{} may know how you{} ought to answer each one.
1 This is the third time I am coming to you{}. At the mouth of two witnesses or three will every word be established.
130 The opening of your words gives light; It gives understanding to the simple.
19 Yahweh by wisdom founded the earth; By understanding he established the heavens.
17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, easy to be entreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without variance, without hypocrisy.
8 Cause me to hear your loving-kindness in the morning; For in you I trust: Cause me to know the way in which I should walk; For I lift up my soul to you.
29 He who is slow to anger is of great understanding; But he who is in a hurry of spirit exalts folly.
8 He has shown you, O man, what is good; and what does Yahweh require of you, but to do justly, and to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?
4 Show me your ways, O Yahweh; Teach me your paths.
5 Guide me in your truth, and teach me; For you are the God of my salvation; For you I wait all the day.
9 The meek he will guide in justice; And the meek he will teach his way.
4 Delight yourself also in Yahweh; And he will give you the desires of your heart.
23 but we preach Christ crucified, to Jews a stumbling block, and to Gentiles foolishness;
24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men; and the weakness of God is stronger than men.
33 Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!
18 Every purpose is established by counsel; And by wise guidance make war.
105 [NUN] Your word is a lamp to my feet, And a light to my path.
23 O Yahweh, I know that the way of man is not in himself: it is not in a man who walks to direct his steps.
6 For by wise guidance you will make your war; And in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
6 For Yahweh gives wisdom; Out of his mouth [comes] knowledge and understanding:
6 We speak wisdom, however, among those who are full-grown: yet a wisdom not of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing:
7 but we speak God's wisdom in a mystery, [even] the [wisdom] that has been hidden, which God predetermined before the ages to our glory:
15 The way of a fool is right in his own eyes; But he who is wise harkens to counsel.
15 The heart of the prudent gets knowledge; And the ear of the wise seeks knowledge.
1 The plans of the heart belong to man; But the answer of the tongue is from Yahweh.
16 And I will bring the blind by a way that they don't know; in paths that they don't know I will lead them; I will make darkness light before them, and crooked places straight. These things I will do, and I will not forsake them.
10 Teach me to do your will; For you are my God: Your Spirit is good; Lead me in the land of uprightness.
11 Quicken me, O Yahweh, for your name's sake: In your righteousness bring my soul out of trouble.
14 whereas you{} don't know what will be on the next day. What is your{} life? For you{} are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.
13 Who is wise and understanding among you{}? Let him show, by his good life, his works in meekness of wisdom.
8 For my thoughts are not your{} thoughts, neither are your{} ways my ways, says Yahweh.
20 Now to him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us,
21 to him [be] the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all the generations of forever and ever. Amen.
23 A [noble] man's goings are established of Yahweh; And he delights in his way.
22 When you walk, it will lead you; When you sleep, it will watch over you; And when you awake, it will talk with you.
2 A fool has no delight in understanding, But only that his heart may reveal itself.
20 Daniel answered and said, Blessed be the name of God forever and ever; for wisdom and might are his.
1 BOOK I. Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked; and in the way of sinners, does not stand, and in the seat of scoffers, does not sit.
2 But rather in the law of Yahweh, does he delight; and in his law does he meditate, day and night.
5 Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.
9 The heart of man devises his way; But Yahweh directs his steps.
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you{} richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms [and] hymns [and] spiritual songs, singing with grace in your{} hearts to God.
7 The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of knowledge; [But] the foolish despise wisdom and instruction.
5 But if any of you{} lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and does not upbraid; and it will be given him.
24 Do not judge according to appearance, but judge righteous judgment.
24 Therefore he promised with an oath to give her whatever she should ask.
