A Volta de Jesus
1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brothers, you{} have no need that anything be written to you{}.
2 For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.
3 When they are saying, Peace and safety, then sudden destruction comes on them, as travail on a pregnant woman; and they will in no way escape.
9 And when he had said these things, as they were looking, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
10 And while they were looking steadfastly into heaven as he went, look, two men stood by them in white apparel;
11 who also said, Men, Galileans, why do you{} stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was received up from you{} into heaven will so come in like manner as you{} watched him going into heaven.
11 Seeing that these things are thus all to be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you{} to be in [all] holy living and godliness,
12 looking for and earnestly desiring the coming of the day of God, by reason of which the heavens being on fire will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with fervent heat?
13 But, according to his promise, we look for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.
20 He who testifies these things says, Yes: I come quickly. Amen: come, Lord Jesus.
8 But do not forget this one thing, beloved, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.
9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some count slackness; but is long-suffering toward you{}, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief; in the which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be found.
16 For the Lord himself will descend from heaven, with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ will rise first;
17 then we who are alive, who are left, will together with them be caught up in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.
32 But of that day or that hour knows no one, not even the angels in heaven nor even the Son, but the Father.
26 For whoever will be ashamed of me and of my words, of him will the Son of Man be ashamed, when he comes in his own glory, and [the glory] of the Father, and of the holy angels.
1 Now we urge you{}, brothers, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and our gathering together to him;
2 to the end that you{} are not quickly shaken from your{} mind, nor yet be troubled, either by spirit, or by word, or by letter as from us, as that the day of the Lord is just at hand;
3 let no man beguile you{} in any wise: for [it will not be,] except the falling away comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition,
4 he who opposes and exalts himself against all that is called God or that is worshiped; so that he sits in the temple of God, setting himself forth as God.
24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light,
25 and the stars will be falling from heaven, and the powers that are in the heavens will be shaken.
26 And then they will see the Son of Man coming in clouds with great power and glory.
27 And then he will send forth the angels, and will gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.
2 In my Father's house are many places to stay; if it were not so, would I tell you{} that I go to prepare a place for you{}?
3 And if I go and prepare a place for you{}, I come again, and will receive you{} to myself; that where I am, [there] you{} may be also.
12 Look, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to render to each man according to as his work is.
31 He says to them, My cup indeed you{} will drink: but to sit at my right hand, and on [my] left hand, this is not mine to give; but [it is for those] for whom it has been prepared.
32 And when the ten heard it, they were moved with indignation concerning the two brothers.
33 But Jesus called them to him, and said, The kings of the Gentiles have lordship over them; and those who have authority over them are called Benefactors.
27 And inasmuch as it is appointed to men once to die, and after this [comes] judgment;
28 so Christ also, having been once offered to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, apart from sin, to those who wait for him, to salvation.
11 And I saw the heaven opened; and look, a white horse, and he who sat on it called Faithful and True; and in righteousness he judges and makes war.
12 And his eyes [are] as a flame of fire, and on his head [are] many diadems; and he has a name written which no one knows but he himself.
13 And he [is] arrayed in a garment dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14 And the armies which are in heaven followed him on white horses, clothed in fine linen, white [and] pure.
15 And out of his mouth proceeds a sharp sword, that with it he should strike the nations: and he will shepherd them with a rod of iron: and he treads the wine press of the fierceness of the wrath of the God of hosts.
16 And he has on his garment and on his thigh a name written, KINGS OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
