Und es kehrte Josaphat, der König von Juda, im Frieden zurück in sein Haus nach Jerusalem. 
Und es ging Jehu, der Sohn Hanani's, der Seher, zu ihm hinaus, und sprach zum Könige Josaphat: Dem Gottlosen hilfst du, und die, welche Jehova hassen, liebst du! dafür kommt über dich der Zorn von Jehova. 
Doch findet sich noch etwas Gutes an dir, weil du die Haine ausgerottet aus dem Lande; und dein Herz darauf gerichtet hast, Gott zu suchen. 
Und Josaphat wohnte in Jerusalem; und zog abermals aus zu dem Volke, von Beer-Schebe an bis zum Gebirge Ephraim, und führte sie zurück zu Jehova, dem Gott ihre Väter. 
Und er bestellte Richter im Lande, in allen befestigten Städten Juda's, Stadt für Stadt, 
und sprach zu den Richtern: Sehet, was ihr thut! denn nicht für Menschen haltet ihr Gericht, sondern für Jehova; und er ist bei euch im Gerichte. 
So lasset denn Furcht vor Jehova bei euch seyn, gebet Acht, und thut es! denn bei Jehova, unserm Gott, ist kein Unrecht, noch Ansehen der Person, noch Annahme von Geschenken. 
Und auch zu Jerusalem bestellte Josaphat Leviten und Priester, und väterliche Häupter von Israel zum Gerichte Jehova's, und zum Rechtsstreite, und sie kehrten nach Jerusalem zurück. 
Und er gebot ihnen, und sprach: Thut also in der Furcht Jehova's, mit Treue und mit vollkommenem Herzen: 
Bei jedem Rechtsstreit, der vor euch kommt von eurern Brüdern, die in ihren Städten wohnen, zwischen Blut und Blut, zwischen Gesetz und Gebot, und Verordnungen, und Rechten; belehret sie, daß sie sich nicht verschulden gegen Jehova, und sein Zorn komme über euch, und über eure Brüder. Thut also, daß ihr euch nicht verschuldet. 
Und siehe! Amarja, der Hohepriester, soll über euch seyn in allen Sachen Jehova's, und Sebadja, der Sohn Ismaels, der Fürst vom Hause Juda's, in allen sachen des Königs; und Leviten sollen als Beamte vor euch seyn. Seyd fest, und thut es, und Jehova sey mit dem Guten! 

And Jehoshaphat the king of Judah returned to his house in peace to Jerusalem. 2 And Jehu the son of Hanani the seer went out to meet him, and said to king Jehoshaphat, Shouldest thou help the wicked, and love them that hate Jehovah? for this thing wrath is upon thee from before Jehovah. 3 Nevertheless there are good things found in thee, in that thou hast put away the Asheroth out of the land, and hast set thy heart to seek God. 
And Jehoshaphat dwelt at Jerusalem: and he went out again among the people from Beer-sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brought them back unto Jehovah, the God of their fathers. 5 And he set judges in the land throughout all the fortified cities of Judah, city by city, 6 and said to the judges, Consider what ye do: for ye judge not for man, but for Jehovah; and he is with you in the judgment. 7 Now therefore let the fear of Jehovah be upon you; take heed and do it: for there is no iniquity with Jehovah our God, nor respect of persons, nor taking of bribes. 
Moreover in Jerusalem did Jehoshaphat set of the Levites and the priests, and of the heads of the fathers’ houses of Israel, for the judgment of Jehovah, and for controversies. And they returned to Jerusalem. 9 And he charged them, saying, Thus shall ye do in the fear of Jehovah, faithfully, and with a perfect heart. 10 And whensoever any controversy shall come to you from your brethren that dwell in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and commandment, statutes and ordinances, ye shall warn them, that they be not guilty towards Jehovah, and so wrath come upon you and upon your brethren: this do, and ye shall not be guilty. 11 And, behold, Amariah the chief priest is over you in all matters of Jehovah; and Zebadiah the son of Ishmael, the ruler of the house of Judah, in all the king’s matters: also the Levites shall be officers before you. Deal courageously, and Jehovah be with the good.
