1 Und Jehova redete zu Mose und sprach:

2 Siehe! ich rufe mit Namen Bezaleel, der Sohn Uri's des Sohnens Hurs, vom Stamme Juda's.

3 Und ich habe ihn erfüllt mit dem Geiste Gottes, mit Einsicht und Verstand, und Kenntniß, und mit aller Geschicklichkeit;

4 zu ersinnen, in Gold, und in Silber, und in Erz zu arbeiten;

5 und im Steinschneiden zum Einfassen, und im Schneiden des Holzes, daß er arbeite mit aller Geschicklichkeit.

6 Und siehe! ich bestimme mit ihm Oholiab, den Sohn Ahisamahs vom Stamme Dans; und in die Herzen aller willigen Kunstverständigen habe ich Verstand gegeben, daß sie Alles machen, was ich dir geboten habe;

7 das Versammlungszelt, und die Lade für die Verordnungen, und den Deckel, der über ihr ist, und alle Geräthe des Zeltes;

8 und den Tisch und seine Geräthe, und den reinen Leuchter und alle seine Geräthe, und den Rauchaltar;

9 und den Brandopferaltar und alle seine Geräthe, und das Becken und sein Gestell;

10 und die Amtskleider und die heiligen Kleider für Aaron, den Priester, und die Kinder seiner Söhne, zum Priesterdienst;

11 und das Salböl, und das wohlriechende Räucherwerk für's Heiligthum; ganz wie ich dir geboten habe, sollen sie es machen.

12 Und Jehova redete zu Mose und sprach:

13 Und du rede zu den Söhnen Israels, und sprich: Beobachtet nur meine Sabbathe; denn dies ist ein Zeichen zwischen mir und zwischen euch durch eure Geschlechter hinab, daß man wisse, daß ich Jehova es bin, der euch heiligt.

14 Beobachtet also den Sabbath! denn er soll euch heilig seyn; wer ihn entweiht, der soll getödtet werden; ja, Jeder, der an ihm eine Arbeit thut, diese Seele soll ausgerottet werden aus ihrem Volke.

15 Sechs Tage soll man Arbeit thun; aber am siebenten sey Sabbathfeier, Jehova geheiligt. Jeder, der Arbeit verrichtet am Tage des Sabbathes, der soll getödtet werden.

16 Und die Söhne Israels sollen den Sabbath beobachten, und ihn halten durch alle Geschlechter hinab, als ewigen Bund.

17 Zwischen mir und zwischen den Söhnen Israels sey er ein ewiges Zeichen. Denn in sechs Tagen hat Jehova den Himmel und die Erde gemacht; und am siebenten hat er geruht, und sich erholt.

18 Da gab er Mose, nachdem er mit ihm ausgeredet hatte auf dem Berge Sinai, die zwei Tafeln der Verordnung, steinerne Tafeln, geschrieben durch den Finger Gottes.

1 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 2 See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, 4 to devise skilful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, 5 and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all manner of workmanship. 6 And I, behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all that are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded thee: 7 the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy-seat that is thereupon, and all the furniture of the Tent, 8 and the table and its vessels, and the pure candlestick with all its vessels, and the altar of incense, 9 and the altar of burnt-offering with all its vessels, and the laver and its base, 10 and the finely wrought garments, and the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest’s office, 11 and the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded thee shall they do.

12 And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying, 13 Speak thou also unto the children of Israel, saying, Verily ye shall keep my sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that ye may know that I am Jehovah who sanctifieth you. 14 Ye shall keep the sabbath therefore; for it is holy unto you: every one that profaneth it shall surely be put to death; for whosoever doeth any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. 15 Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to Jehovah: whosoever doeth any work on the sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death. 16 Wherefore the children of Israel shall keep the sabbath, to observe the sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant. 17 It is a sign between me and the children of Israel for ever: for in six days Jehovah made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.

18 And he gave unto Moses, when he had made an end of communing with him upon mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God.
