21 Jesus blickte ihn an, gewann ihn lieb, und sprach zu ihm: Eins fehlet dir! gehe, verkaufe, was du hast, und gib es den Armen; so wirst du einen Schatz im Himmel haben; komm dann,und nimm das Kreuz auf, setzt der griechische Text zu. und folge mir nach!

22 Als er das hörte, wurde er ganz betrübt, und ging traurig fort; denn er besaß viel Vermögen.

21 And Jesus looking upon him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come, follow me. 22 But his countenance fell at the saying, and he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.
