20 Als er darüber nachsann, siehe! da erschien ihm ein Engel des Herrn im Traume, und sagte: Joseph, Sohn Davids! scheue dich nicht, Maria, als dein Weib, zu dir zu nehmen, denn was in ihr erzeugt ist, das ist vom heiligen Geiste.

21 Sie wird aber einen Sohn gebären, dessen Namen sollst du Jesus heißen; denn er wird sein Volk von seinen Sünden erlösen.

20 But when he thought on these things, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit. 21 And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.
