1 Dem Vorspieler ein Lied zum Singen. Es jauchze zu Gott die ganze Erde!

2 Singet die Herrlichkeit seines Namens! verherrlicht ihn durch Loblieder!

3 Sprechet zu Gott: "Wie furchtbar sind deine Werke, wegen der Größe deiner Macht müssen dir schmeicheln deine Feinde!"

4 "Die ganze Erde müsse anbeten vor dir, und dir lobsingen, sie müssen lobsingen deinem Namen!" Sela.

5 Kommet und sehet die Wunder Gottes, der furchtbar ist an Thaten gegen die Menschenkinder.

6 Er wandelt das Meer in trockenes Land, durch den Strom gingen sie zu Fuß, dort freueten wir uns Seiner.

7 Er herrscht durch seine Macht ewig; seine Augen schauen auf die Völker, daß die Empörer sich nicht erheben. Sela.

8 Preiset, ihr Völker! unsern Gott; und lasset erschallen sein Lob!

9 Der unsere Seele am Leben erhielt; und nicht wanken ließ unsern Fuß.

10 Zwar hast du uns geprüft, Gott! uns geläutert, wie man Silber läutert;

11 hast uns gebracht in's Netz, hast einen drückende Last gelegt auf unsere Lenden;

12 hast Menschen reiten lassen auf unserem Haupte; wir kamen in Feuer, und in Wasser; doch du hast uns herausgeführt zur Erqickung.

13 Ich will kommen in dein Haus mit Brandopfern, will dir bezahlen meine Gelübde,

14 wozu meine Lippen sich aufgethan, und mein Mund geredet hat in meiner Noth.

15 Fette Brandopfer will ich dir opfern, sammt Opfer von Widdern; ich will Rinder opfern mit Böcken. Sela.

16 Kommet, höret, ich will erzählen, Alle, die ihr Gott fürchtet, was er mir gethan.

17 Zu ihm rief ich mit meinem Munde, und Lobgesang war auf meiner Zunge.

18 Hätte ich Frevel gesehen in meinem Herzen, so hätte der Herr nicht erhört.

19 Aber Gott hat erhört, er hat gemerkt auf die Stimme meines Flehens.

20 Gepriesen sey Gott, der nicht von sich abgewiesen mein Flehen, noch seine Güte von mir.

Make his praise glorious.

3 Say unto God, How terrible are thy works!

Through the greatness of thy power shall thine enemies submit themselves unto thee.

4 All the earth shall worship thee,

And shall sing unto thee;

5 Come, and see the works of God;

He is terrible in his doing toward the children of men.

6 He turned the sea into dry land;

They went through the river on foot:

There did we rejoice in him.

7 He ruleth by his might for ever;

His eyes observe the nations:

Let not the rebellious exalt themselves. [Selah

8 Oh bless our God, ye peoples,

And make the voice of his praise to be heard;

9 Who holdeth our soul in life,

And suffereth not our feet to be moved.

10 For thou, O God, hast proved us:

Thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.

11 Thou broughtest us into the net;

Thou layedst a sore burden upon our loins.

12 Thou didst cause men to ride over our heads;

We went through fire and through water;

But thou broughtest us out into a wealthy place.

13 I will come into thy house with burnt-offerings;

I will pay thee my vows,

14 Which my lips uttered,

And my mouth spake, when I was in distress.

15 I will offer unto thee burnt-offerings of fatlings,

With the incense of rams;

I will offer bullocks with goats. [Selah

16 Come, and hear, all ye that fear God,

And I will declare what he hath done for my soul.

17 I cried unto him with my mouth,

And he was extolled with my tongue.

18 If I regard iniquity in my heart,

The Lord will not hear:

19 But verily God hath heard;

He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.

20 Blessed be God,

Who hath not turned away my prayer,

Nor his lovingkindness from me.
