1 Eine Sache stimmt schon mal hundertpro: Wenn jemand eine Gemeinde leiten will, dann geht es da um ein sehr cooles und hohes Amt.

2 So ein Gemeindechef muss aber bestimmte Bedingungen erfüllen. Sein Leben muss vor Gott voll okay sein, und er sollte nicht tausend Freundinnen haben, sondern nur eine Frau. Er sollte nüchtern und entspannt sein. Cool drauf sein und nicht schnell wütend werden, das ist auch eine wichtige Eigenschaft. Er sollte freundlich mit Menschen umgehen und auch gerne mal Gäste zu Hause aufnehmen. Und dass er Leuten was beibringen kann, ist auch noch wichtig.

3 Es sollte kein Alkoholiker sein oder jemand, der sich mit anderen Sachen breit haut. Jemand, der nicht aggressiv und gewalttätig ist, sondern freundlich und nicht bei jedem Streit dabei. Und er sollte nicht geldgeil sein!

4 Er sollte seiner Familie zu Hause ein guter und ordentlicher Vater sein, der Kinder hat, die auch tun, was er sagt.

5 Hey, wenn einer es noch nicht mal hinkriegt, sein Familienleben zu regeln, wie soll er dann bitte eine ganze Gemeinde vor Gott regeln können?

6 Es sollte auch kein Frischling sein, der erst ganz kurz mit Jesus lebt, ist ja klar. Sonst bildet der sich auf den Job noch was ein und meint, er wäre jetzt sonst wie toll, und dann wird er bei nächster Gelegenheit vom Satan aufs Kreuz gelegt.

7 So ein Gemeindechef muss auch einen guten Ruf bei den Nichtchristen im Ort haben. So könnt ihr verhindern, dass man über ihn ablästert und er so dem Teufel auf den Leim geht.

1 Faithful is the saying, If a man seeketh the office of a bishop, he desireth a good work. 2 The bishop therefore must be without reproach, the husband of one wife, temperate, sober-minded, orderly, given to hospitality, apt to teach; 3 no brawler, no striker; but gentle, not contentious, no lover of money; 4 one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; 5 (but if a man knoweth not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?) 6 not a novice, lest being puffed up he fall into the condemnation of the devil. 7 Moreover he must have good testimony from them that are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.
