1 Nachdem das alles passiert war, konnte ich einen Engel erkennen, der aus dem Himmel auf die Erde gebeamt wurde. Er hatte große Handschellen in der Hand und in der Tasche den Schlüssel für die Tür zum Abgrund.

2 Er schnappte sich den Drachen, diese alte Schlange, also den Teufel beziehungsweise Satan, und fesselte ihn für die nächsten tausend Jahre.

3 Der Engel warf ihn dann in den Abgrund und verschloss die Tür, sodass keiner sie mehr knacken konnte. Das Mistvieh konnte jetzt tausend Jahre lang nichts Ätzendes mehr auf der Erde starten. Keiner konnte mehr verführt werden, bis die Zeit vorbei war. Danach muss er aber für kurze Zeit wieder freigelassen werden.

4 Dann konnte ich so Throne sehen, also solche Chefsessel, wo Könige draufsitzen. Alle, die von Gott eine Vollmacht ausgestellt bekommen hatten, über andere zu richten, setzten sich dort drauf. Ich konnte Menschen erkennen, die man getötet hatte, weil sie sich öffentlich dazu gestellt hatten, Christen zu sein. Sie waren straight bei ihrer Überzeugung geblieben. Sie hatten auch nie zu dem Tier gebetet, auch nicht zu seinem Denkmal. Sie wurden wieder lebendig und hatten mit Jesus tausend Jahre lang das Sagen über die Welt.

5 Die anderen Menschen, die tot sind, wurden erst wieder lebendig, als diese tausend Jahre vorbei waren. Das nennt man übrigens die „erste Auferstehung".

6 Glücklich werden alle sein, die von Gott akzeptiert werden und mit dabei sind, wenn Gott sie aus dem Tod rausholt. Der zweite Tod kann bei ihnen nichts mehr ausrichten. Sie werden Priester von Gott sein und tausend Jahre lang mit ihm zusammen das Sagen haben.

7 Wenn die tausend Jahre vorbei sind, wird Satan noch mal aus seinem Gefängnis freikommen.

8 Er wird alle Menschen auf der Welt überreden, sich um ihn zu sammeln und zum Krieg aufzurüsten. Es werden so viele Soldaten sein, wie es Sand am Meer gibt.

9 Ich konnte sehen, wie sie von überall herkamen. Sie umzingelten Gottes Leute und belagerten seine geliebte Stadt. Dann sah ich, wie plötzlich Feuer vom Himmel runterfiel und diese Armee, die von Satan angeführt wurde, vernichtet wurde.

10 Der Satan selber, der alle betrogen hatte, wurde dann auch gepackt und zu dem Tier und dem falschen Propheten in einen See aus Feuer geworfen, der mit Schwefel brennt. Dort brennen sie und leiden ohne Ende, bis in die Ewigkeit.

11 Dann konnte ich einen weißen Thron erkennen, und ich sah auch denjenigen, der da draufsaß. Sein Blick war so derbe, dass die Erde und der Himmel ihn nicht ertragen konnten. Sie verschwanden einfach.

12 Ich sah dann alle Toten vor dem Thron Gottes aufkreuzen. Alle, die mal was zu sagen hatten, waren da, und auch die Nobodys. Dann wurden Bücher aufgeschlagen. Das Buch des Lebens war auch dabei. Jeder bekam ein Gerichtsurteil, das sich nach den Eintragungen richtete, die man in den Büchern fand. Alles, was man mal gemacht hat, stand da drin.

13 Alle Toten mussten antreten. Das Meer spuckte seine Toten aus, aber auch die Menschen aus dem Totenreich waren dabei. Jeder bekam ein Urteil nach seinen Taten, so wie er gelebt hatte.

14 Und der Tod und sein ganzer Machtbereich wurde verschrottet. Er kam in den Feuersee, und das ist dann der zweite Tod.

15 Alle, deren Namen nicht in diesem Buch gefunden wurden, landeten in diesem See aus Feuer, in dem endgültigen Tod.

1 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key of the abyss and a great chain in his hand. 2 And he laid hold on the dragon, the old serpent, which is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, 3 and cast him into the abyss, and shut it, and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, until the thousand years should be finished: after this he must be loosed for a little time.

4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that had been beheaded for the testimony of Jesus, and for the word of God, and such as worshipped not the beast, neither his image, and received not the mark upon their forehead and upon their hand; and they lived, and reigned with Christ a thousand years. 5 The rest of the dead lived not until the thousand years should be finished. This is the first resurrection. 6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: over these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years.

7 And when the thousand years are finished, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, 8 and shall come forth to deceive the nations which are in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Magog, to gather them together to the war: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they went up over the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down out of heaven, and devoured them. 10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where are also the beast and the false prophet; and they shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

11 And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat upon it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne; and books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of the things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead that were in it; and death and Hades gave up the dead that were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. 14 And death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death, even the lake of fire. 15 And if any was not found written in the book of life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
