15 Nach diesem Frühstück sagte Jesus zu Petrus: „Simon, ja genau du! Ich hab mal ’ne Frage an dich: Liebst du mich mehr als die anderen hier?" „Ja klar, du weißt genau, wie lieb ich dich habe!" „Dann pass auf meine Schafe auf!"

16 Kurze Zeit später fragte Jesus das Gleiche noch mal: „Simon, sag mal, liebst du mich?" „Ja klar, du weißt doch genau, wie sehr ich dich liebe!", antwortete Petrus noch mal. „Dann pass auf meine Schafe auf!"

17 Und dann fragte Jesus noch mal: „Simon? Ja, ich meine dich! Liebst du mich?" Petrus hatte das Gefühl, Jesus würde ihm nicht glauben, darum wurde er sehr traurig. „Mann, Jesus, du weißt doch sowieso alles! Und du weißt auch, dass ich dich sehr, sehr liebe!" Jesus sagte wieder: „Dann pass auf meine Schafe auf!

He saith unto him, Tend my sheep. 17 He saith unto him the third time, Simon, son of John, lovest thou me? Peter was grieved because he said unto him the third time, Lovest thou me? And he said unto him, Lord, thou knowest all things; thou knowest that I love thee. Jesus saith unto him, Feed my sheep.
