1 Hier geht es um eine sehr coole Sache, wirklich gute Nachrichten für alle, über Jesus Christus, den Sohn von Gott!

2 Es fing alles genau so an, wie es der Prophet Jesaja schon im alten Buch vorhergesagt hatte: „Pass auf! Ich werde für dich einen Ansager organisieren. Er wird im Voraus für alles sorgen.

3 Der ist wie ein Megaphon, man hört ihn schon von weitem, und er wird rufen: ‚Platz da! Der Meister kommt! Macht den Weg frei!‘"

4 Dieser Ansager hieß Johannes. Er lebte mitten in der Wüste und forderte die Leute auf, sich bei einem religiösen Ritual waschen zu lassen, man nannte das Taufe. Es sollte ein Zeichen dafür sein, dass man sein Leben ändern wollte.

5 Von überall kamen die Leute angereist, aus Jerusalem und Judäa, um sich seine Reden anzuhören. Sie erzählten ihm, wo sie Mist in ihrem Leben gebaut hatten, und dann taufte er sie.

6 Johannes hatte Klamotten aus Kamelhaaren und trug dazu einen Ledergürtel. Er aß Heuschrecken mit Honig zum Mittag, so krass drauf war er.

7 Er machte allen Leuten die Ansage: „Bald wird einer da sein, der ist so wichtig und groß, dem kann ich noch nicht einmal die Schuhe putzen.

8 Ich hab nur mit Wasser getauft. Der wird aber mit der Kraft von Gott taufen, mit seinem Geist!"

9 Schließlich kam Jesus, der aus der Stadt Nazareth stammte, mal vorbei. Er wollte sich auch taufen lassen.

10 Als er nach der Taufe aus dem Wasser wieder hochkam, öffnete sich der Himmel ganz plötzlich über ihm. Der Geist, der von Gott kommt, schwebte zu ihm hinunter und zwar in Form einer Taube.

11 Und dann hörte man plötzlich eine Stimme aus dem Nichts, die laut sagte: „Du bist mein Sohn, den ich sehr liebe. Ich freue mich total über dich!"

12 Kurze Zeit später führte der Geist von Gott Jesus in die Wüste.

13 Vierzig Tage lang hatte er dort eine ätzende Zeit. Satan versuchte ihn dabei vom richtigen Weg abzubringen. Er lebte mit den Tieren zusammen, und ein paar Engel kamen vorbei, die für ihn sorgten.

14 Nachdem Johannes von Herodes Antipas, der damals das Sagen hatte, in den Knast gesteckt worden war, zog Jesus nach Galiläa, um von da aus loszulegen. Er erzählte folgende Message:

15 „Es geht los, Leute! Es hat eine neue Zeit begonnen, eine Zeit, in der Gott das Sagen hat. Hört auf, Dinge zu tun, die Gott nicht will, und setzt euer Vertrauen auf diese neue gute Nachricht!"

16 Am See Genezareth traf Jesus auf Simon und dessen Bruder Andreas. Die waren von Beruf Fischer und gerade bei der Arbeit.

17 Jesus meinte zu den beiden: „Hey ihr zwei! Kommt mit, ich will euch zeigen, wie man Menschen an die Angel kriegt."

18 Die zwei ließen sofort alles stehen und liegen und gingen mit ihm mit.

19 Gleich um die Ecke hingen die Söhne von Zebedäus, Jakobus und Johannes, im Boot, um Netze zu flicken.

20 Zu denen sagte Jesus auch nur: „Mitkommen!", und beide folgten ihm sofort. Sie ließen ihren Vater bei den Zeitarbeitern, die auch mit im Boot waren, zurück und gingen mit ihm.

21 Schließlich kamen sie in die Stadt Kapernaum. An dem besonderen jüdischen Feiertag, dem Sabbat, ging Jesus in die Synagoge Synagogen nannte man die Häuser, in denen die Juden am Sabbat (Samstag) ihren Gottesdienst feierten., um den Leuten dort was beizubringen.

22 Alle waren total baff von seiner Art und von dem, was er so rüberbrachte. Er hatte es voll drauf, im Gegensatz zu diesen Schriftgelehrten, den religiösen Profis, die auch immer aus dem alten besonderen Buch zitierten. Alle merkten sehr krass, dass durch Jesus Gott zu ihnen redete.

23 In der Synagoge war ein Typ, der hatte so einen fiesen Geist in seinem Körper, einen Dämon.

24 Der fing voll an zu zappeln und schrie: „Was willst du, Jesus? Bist du da, um uns fertig zu machen? Ich weiß genau, wer du bist. Du bist der von Gott Auserwählte!"

25 „Halt’s Maul!", schrie Jesus zurück. „Verlass diesen Typen!"

26 Der Dämon zappelte hin und her, quiekte noch einmal, und dann zog er Leine.

27 Die Zuschauer waren alle total durch! Sie steckten die Köpfe zusammen und meinten: „Was ist das für eine derbe Geschichte, die der da erzählt? Und woher hat er diese Power? Sogar die Dämonen müssen tun, was er sagt!"

28 Die News verbreiteten sich wie ein Lauffeuer in ganz Galiläa.

29 Als Jesus aus der Synagoge draußen war, wollten sie noch Simon und Andreas besuchen gehen. Jakobus und Johannes waren auch dabei.

30 Die Schwiegermutter von Simon war sehr krank. Sie hatte Grippe und lag mit vierzig Fieber im Bett. Als sie ihm das gesagt hatten,

31 machte er auch noch einen Krankenbesuch klar. Er ging in das Zimmer und packte ihre Hand. Dann zog er sie aus dem Bett hoch, und im selben Augenblick war das Fieber weg! Die Frau ging erst mal in die Küche und machte einen Imbiss für alle.

32 Abends nach Sonnenuntergang war Sprechstunde angesagt. Alle Leute, die irgendwie krank waren oder auch Probleme mit Dämonen hatten, wurden vorbeigebracht.

33 Die ganze Stadt war plötzlich an der Tür und wollte was.

34 Sehr viele Leute wurden an dem Abend von Jesus wieder gesund gemacht. Er bekämpfte viele Dämonen erfolgreich. Nachdem die Dämonen aus dem Menschen rausgeschmissen waren, gab Jesus ihnen die Order, bloß nichts zu sagen. Denn die wussten genau, wer ihnen da gegenüberstand.

35 Am nächsten Morgen ging Jesus erst mal an einen Ort, wo er ganz alleine sein konnte, um zu beten.

36 Später gingen ihm Simon und die anderen hinterher.

37 Als sie ihn gefunden hatten, meinte einer: „Hey Jesus, alle wollen wissen, wo du bist!"

38 „Wir haben noch eine lange Tour vor uns, ich will noch in anderen Städten Predigten halten. Dazu bin ich da."

39 Also zog er durch das ganze Gebiet von Galiläa, er predigte in den Synagogen, und bei vielen Leuten vertrieb er auch die bösen Geister aus ihrem Körper.

40 Da kam ein Typ, der eine ganz schlimme Krankheit hatte, so was wie Aids, zu Jesus. Er kniete sich vor ihm hin und bettelte: „Herr Jesus, ich weiß, wenn Sie wollen, dann können Sie mich gesund machen!"

41 Der Typ tat Jesus voll Leid. Er fasste ihn an und sagte: „Ist in Ordnung. Du bist jetzt gesund!"

42 Sofort waren die Symptome weg, und er war geheilt.

43 Jesus verpasste ihm aber erst mal einen Maulkorb:

44 „Geh jetzt sofort zum Priester und lass dich von ihm durchchecken. Unterwegs mit keinem reden, klar? Nimm ein paar Sachen auf dem Weg mit, die du dann in unserem Tempel nach den Vorschriften von Mose auf dem Altar verbrennen musst. Damit soll allen bewiesen werden, dass du wirklich gesund bist!"

45 Aber der Typ hielt sich nicht an die Abmachung. Völlig begeistert erzählte er jedem, den er vors Rohr kriegte, von seiner Heilung. Dadurch wurde Jesus berühmt und konnte sich nicht mehr überall blicken lassen. Schließlich hing er nur noch an Plätzen rum, die nicht so viele Leute kannten. Aber auch da waren schnell viele Menschen von überall bei ihm.

2 Even as it is written in Isaiah the prophet,

Behold, I send my messenger before thy face,

Who shall prepare thy way;

3 The voice of one crying in the wilderness,

Make ye ready the way of the Lord,

Make his paths straight;

4 John came, who baptized in the wilderness and preached the baptism of repentance unto remission of sins. 5 And there went out unto him all the country of Judæa, and all they of Jerusalem; and they were baptized of him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. 6 And John was clothed with camel’s hair, and had a leathern girdle about his loins, and did eat locusts and wild honey. 7 And he preached, saying, There cometh after me he that is mightier than I, the latchet of whose shoes I am not worthy to stoop down and unloose. 8 I baptized you in water; but he shall baptize you in the Holy Spirit.

9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in the Jordan. 10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens rent asunder, and the Spirit as a dove descending upon him: 11 and a voice came out of the heavens, Thou art my beloved Son, in thee I am well pleased.

12 And straightway the Spirit driveth him forth into the wilderness. 13 And he was in the wilderness forty days tempted of Satan; and he was with the wild beasts; and the angels ministered unto him.

14 Now after John was delivered up, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of God, 15 and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe in the gospel.

16 And passing along by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew the brother of Simon casting a net in the sea; for they were fishers. 17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men. 18 And straightway they left the nets, and followed him. 19 And going on a little further, he saw James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother, who also were in the boat mending the nets. 20 And straightway he called them: and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after him.

21 And they go into Capernaum; and straightway on the sabbath day he entered into the synagogue and taught. 22 And they were astonished at his teaching: for he taught them as having authority, and not as the scribes. 23 And straightway there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit; and he cried out, 24 saying, What have we to do with thee, Jesus thou Nazarene? art thou come to destroy us? I know thee who thou art, the Holy One of God. 25 And Jesus rebuked him, saying, Hold thy peace, and come out of him. 26 And the unclean spirit, tearing him and crying with a loud voice, came out of him. 27 And they were all amazed, insomuch that they questioned among themselves, saying, What is this? a new teaching! with authority he commandeth even the unclean spirits, and they obey him. 28 And the report of him went out straightway everywhere into all the region of Galilee round about.

29 And straightway, when they were come out of the synagogue, they came into the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John. 30 Now Simon’s wife’s mother lay sick of a fever; and straightway they tell him of her: 31 and he came and took her by the hand, and raised her up; and the fever left her, and she ministered unto them.

32 And at even, when the sun did set, they brought unto him all that were sick, and them that were possessed with demons. 33 And all the city was gathered together at the door. 34 And he healed many that were sick with divers diseases, and cast out many demons; and he suffered not the demons to speak, because they knew him.

35 And in the morning, a great while before day, he rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed. 36 And Simon and they that were with him followed after him; 37 and they found him, and say unto him, All are seeking thee. 38 And he saith unto them, Let us go elsewhere into the next towns, that I may preach there also; for to this end came I forth. 39 And he went into their synagogues throughout all Galilee, preaching and casting out demons.

40 And there cometh to him a leper, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him, and saying unto him, If thou wilt, thou canst make me clean. 41 And being moved with compassion, he stretched forth his hand, and touched him, and saith unto him, I will; be thou made clean. 42 And straightway the leprosy departed from him, and he was made clean. 43 And he strictly charged him, and straightway sent him out, 44 and saith unto him, See thou say nothing to any man: but go show thyself to the priest, and offer for thy cleansing the things which Moses commanded, for a testimony unto them. 45 But he went out, and began to publish it much, and to spread abroad the matter, insomuch that Jesus could no more openly enter into a city, but was without in desert places: and they came to him from every quarter.
