1 Anschließend wurde Jesus von Gott in die Wüste geführt, wo der Chef des Bösen, der auch Satan genannt wird, versuchen sollte, ihn von seinem Weg abzubringen.

2 Vierzig Tage und Nächte verzichtete er ganz auf Essen, und am Ende hatte er richtig krassen Hunger.

3 Schließlich kam Satan vorbei, um ihn fertigzumachen. Er sagte zu ihm: „Wenn dein Dad wirklich Gott ist, dann kannst du dir aus diesen Steinen ’ne Pizza zaubern, wenn du das willst, oder?"

4 Jesus antwortete ihm: „Nein, das werde ich nicht tun. Denn im alten Buch Das alte Buch oder das „Alte Testament" ist der erste Teil der Bibel. Es war sozusagen die Bibel der Leute in der Zeit, als Jesus auf der Erde war. steht drin: ,Der Mensch braucht nicht nur Essen, um zu leben. Er braucht auch einen Wegweiser durch das, was Gott zu ihm sagt.‘"

5 Danach ging Satan mit ihm zur Stadt Jerusalem und platzierte ihn dort auf dem obersten Rand der Tempelmauer.

6 „Spring runter!", foppte er Jesus. „Du bist doch der Sohn von Gott! In dem alten Buch kann man ja auch lesen: ,Gott wird durch seine Engel eingreifen. Sie werden dich auf Händen tragen, und du wirst keine Schramme abkriegen.‘"

7 Jesus holte zum Gegenschlag aus. Er sagte: „Da steht aber auch: ,Du sollst mit Gott, deinem Boss, keine Spielchen spielen.‘"

8 Jetzt ging Satan mit ihm auf einen extrem krass hohen Berg und zeigte ihm von dort alle Regierungsbuildings und Staatshäuser der Welt.

9 „Die kannst du alle haben, du musst dich nur vor mich hinschmeißen und mich zu deinem Gott machen. Was hältste davon? Deal?"

10 Jesus ließ ihn voll abblitzen. Er antwortete: „Ey Satan, mach dich vom Acker! In den alten Verträgen steht drin: ,Du sollst nur Gott als einzigen Big Chef anerkennen und nur das tun, was er dir sagt!‘"

11 Endlich gab der Satan auf und verzog sich. Und auf einen Schlag waren dann auch ein paar Engel da, die sich um Jesus kümmerten.

He shall give his angels charge concerning thee:

and,

On their hands they shall bear thee up,

Lest haply thou dash thy foot against a stone.

7 Jesus said unto him, Again it is written, Thou shalt not make trial of the Lord thy God. 8 Again, the devil taketh him unto an exceeding high mountain, and showeth him all the kingdoms of the world, and the glory of them; 9 and he said unto him, All these things will I give thee, if thou wilt fall down and worship me. 10 Then saith Jesus unto him, Get thee hence, Satan: for it is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve. 11 Then the devil leaveth him; and behold, angels came and ministered unto him.
