22 For the Jews require a sign, and the Greeks seek wisdom:
23 But we preach Christ crucified, to the Jews a stumbling-block, and to the Greeks foolishness;
24 But to them who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God, and the wisdom of God.
2 Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long-suffering and doctrine.
16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God to salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.
17 For in this is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.
4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
11 These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.
21 For when in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.
10 For Ezra had prepared his heart to seek the law of the LORD, and to do it, and to teach in Israel statutes and judgments.
12 For the word of God is living, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ, to another gospel:
7 Which is not another; but there are some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ.
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach any other gospel to you than that which we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so I say now again, If any man preacheth any other gospel to you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.
4 For whatever things were written formerly, were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
10 For as the rain cometh down, and the snow from heaven, and returneth not thither, but watereth the earth, and maketh it bring forth and bud, that it may give seed to the sower, and bread to the eater:
11 So shall my word be that proceedeth from my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.
160 Thy word is true from the beginning: and every one of thy righteous judgments endureth for ever.
35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and began at the same scripture, and preached to him Jesus.
19 And the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah, saying,
17 For Christ hath not sent me to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of no effect.
12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is from God; that we may know the things that are freely given to us by God.
13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Spirit teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
39 Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.
9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should show forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light:
7 And as ye go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.
1 The word of the LORD that came to Joel the son of Pethuel.
15 And that from a child thou hast known the sacred scriptures, which are able to make thee wise to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.
1 The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to publish good tidings to the meek; he hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to them that are bound;
2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, and the day of vengeance of our God; to comfort all that mourn;
3 To appoint to them that mourn in Zion, to give to them beauty for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; that they may be called trees of righteousness, the planting of the LORD, that he may be glorified.
8 And the word of the LORD came to Zechariah, saying,
8 And the word of the LORD came to him, saying,
5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield to them that put their trust in him.
6 Add thou not to his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.
2 And Paul, as his manner was, went in to them, and on three sabbaths reasoned with them out of the scriptures,
3 Opening and alledging, that it was needful that Christ should suffer, and rise again from the dead; and that this Jesus, whom I preach to you, is Christ.
16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:
17 That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished to all good works.
20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation.
21 For prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.
1 The burden of the word of the LORD to Israel by Malachi.
18 And Jesus came, and spoke to them, saying, All power is given to me in heaven and upon earth.
19 Go ye therefore and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
20 Teaching them to observe all things whatever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the world. Amen.
15 And account that the long-suffering of our Lord is salvation; even as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given to him, hath written to you;
16 As also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things; in which are some things hard to be understood, which they that are unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.
25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which by the gospel is preached to you.
25 Then he said to them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!
26 Ought not Christ to suffer these things, and to enter into his glory?
27 And beginning at Moses, and all the prophets, he expounded to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself.
13 Till I come, give attendance to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine.
30 And Philip ran thither to him, and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?
31 And he said, How can I, except some man should guide me? And he desired Philip that he would come up, and sit with him.
32 The place of the scripture which he read was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter; and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so he opened not his mouth:
14 How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things?
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17 So then, faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
15 Study to show thyself approved to God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
4 Then came the word of the LORD to Isaiah, saying,
18 For I testify to every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man shall add to these things, God will add to him the plagues that are written in this book:
19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.
17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.
9 BETH. Wherewith shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed to it, according to thy word.
