1 The fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from the sky which had fallen to the earth. The key to the pit of the abyss was given to him. 2 He opened the pit of the abyss, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke from a burning furnace. The sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke from the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke came locusts on the earth, and power was given to them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were told that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree, but only those people who don’t have God’s seal on their foreheads. 5 They were given power, not to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a person. 6 In those days people will seek death, and will in no way find it. They will desire to die, and death will flee from them.

7 The shapes of the locusts were like horses prepared for war. On their heads were something like golden crowns, and their faces were like people’s faces. 8 They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like those of lions. 9 They had breastplates like breastplates of iron. The sound of their wings was like the sound of many chariots and horses rushing to war. 10 They have tails like those of scorpions, with stingers. In their tails they have power to harm men for five months. 11 They have over them as king the angel of the abyss. His name in Hebrew is "Abaddon", but in Greek, he has the name "Apollyon".

12 The first woe is past. Behold, there are still two woes coming after this.

13 The sixth angel sounded. I heard a voice from the horns of the golden altar which is before God, 14 saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Free the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates!"

15 The four angels were freed who had been prepared for that hour and day and month and year, so that they might kill one third of mankind. 16 The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million. I heard the number of them. 17 Thus I saw the horses in the vision and those who sat on them, having breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the horses’ heads resembled lions’ heads. Out of their mouths proceed fire, smoke, and sulfur. 18 By these three plagues, one third of mankind was killed: by the fire, the smoke, and the sulfur, which proceeded out of their mouths. 19 For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails. For their tails are like serpents, and have heads; and with them they harm.

20 The rest of mankind, who were not killed with these plagues, didn’t repent of the works of their hands, that they wouldn’t worship demons, and the idols of gold, and of silver, and of brass, and of stone, and of wood, which can’t see, hear, or walk. 21 They didn’t repent of their murders, their sorceries, their sexual immorality, or their thefts.

1 第五位天使吹号， 我就看见一颗星从天上落到地上， 有无底坑的钥匙赐给它。

2 它开了无底坑， 就有烟从坑里冒出来， 好像大火炉的烟， 太阳和天空因这坑的烟就都变黑了。

3 有蝗虫从烟里出来到了地上； 有能力赐给它们， 好像地上蝎子的能力一样。

4 有话吩咐它们， 不可伤害地上的草， 和所有青翠的东西， 以及所有的树木， 只可伤害那些额上没有 神印记的人。

5 蝗虫没有能力杀死他们， 只可使他们受痛苦五个月。他们的痛苦就像人给蝎子螫了的痛苦一样。

6 在那些日子， 人要求死， 却决不得死； 切愿要死， 死却远离他们。

7 蝗虫的形象， 好像是预备好了要上阵的战马一样。它们头上戴的好像金冠冕， 脸像人的面孔，

8 它们的头发好像女人的头发， 牙齿好像狮子的牙齿；

9 它们的胸甲像铁甲， 它们翅膀的声音好像许多马车奔驰上阵的声音。

10 它们好像蝎子一样有尾巴和毒刺， 它们的尾巴能伤害人五个月。

11 它们有无底坑的使者作王统治它们。这王的名字， 希伯来话叫阿巴顿， 希腊话叫阿波伦。

12 第一样灾祸过去了。看哪， 以后还有两样灾祸要来！

13 第六位天使吹号， 我听见有一个声音从 神面前金坛的四角发出来，

14 对拿着号筒的第六位天使说： "把捆绑在幼发拉底大河的那四个使者放了吧！ "

15 那四个使者就被释放了， 他们已经预备好， 要在某年某月某日某时杀害人类的三分之一。

16 马兵的数目有二万万； 他们这个数目我听见了。

17 在异象中， 我看见那些马和骑马的是这样： 骑马的穿着火红紫青和硫磺色的胸甲， 马的头好像狮子头， 有火、烟和硫磺从马的口中喷出来。

18 马口中喷出来的火、烟和硫磺这三种灾害， 杀死了人类的三分之一。

19 马的能力是在口中和尾巴上。它们的尾巴像蛇， 并且有头用来伤人。

20 其余没有在这些灾难中被杀的人， 仍然不为他们手所作的悔改， 还是去拜鬼魔和那些金、银、铜、石头、木头做的， 不能看、不能听、也不能走路的偶像。

21 他们也不为自己的凶杀、邪术、淫乱和偷盗悔改。
