1 The priests and the Levites—all the tribe of Levi—shall have no portion nor inheritance with Israel. They shall eat the offerings of Yahweh made by fire and his portion. 2 They shall have no inheritance among their brothers. Yahweh is their inheritance, as he has spoken to them. 3 This shall be the priests’ due from the people, from those who offer a sacrifice, whether it be ox or sheep, that they shall give to the priest: the shoulder, the two cheeks, and the inner parts. 4 You shall give him the first fruits of your grain, of your new wine, and of your oil, and the first of the fleece of your sheep. 5 For Yahweh your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in Yahweh’s name, him and his sons forever.

6 If a Levite comes from any of your gates out of all Israel where he lives, and comes with all the desire of his soul to the place which Yahweh shall choose, 7 then he shall minister in the name of Yahweh his God, as all his brothers the Levites do, who stand there before Yahweh. 8 They shall have like portions to eat, in addition to that which comes from the sale of his family possessions.

9 When you have come into the land which Yahweh your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the abominations of those nations. 10 There shall not be found with you anyone who makes his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who tells fortunes, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer, 11 or a charmer, or someone who consults with a familiar spirit, or a wizard, or a necromancer. 12 For whoever does these things is an abomination to Yahweh. Because of these abominations, Yahweh your God drives them out from before you. 13 You shall be blameless with Yahweh your God. 14 For these nations that you shall dispossess listen to those who practice sorcery and to diviners; but as for you, Yahweh your God has not allowed you so to do. 15 Yahweh your God will raise up to you a prophet from among you, of your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him. 16 This is according to all that you desired of Yahweh your God in Horeb in the day of the assembly, saying, "Let me not hear again Yahweh my God’s voice, neither let me see this great fire any more, that I not die."

17 Yahweh said to me, "They have well said that which they have spoken. 18 I will raise them up a prophet from among their brothers, like you. I will put my words in his mouth, and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. 19 It shall happen, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him. 20 But the prophet who speaks a word presumptuously in my name, which I have not commanded him to speak, or who speaks in the name of other gods, that same prophet shall die."

21 You may say in your heart, "How shall we know the word which Yahweh has not spoken?" 22 When a prophet speaks in Yahweh’s name, if the thing doesn’t follow, nor happen, that is the thing which Yahweh has not spoken. The prophet has spoken it presumptuously. You shall not be afraid of him.

1 "利未支派的祭司和利未整个支派， 在以色列中， 必无分无业； 他们所吃的， 是献给耶和华的火祭和他们应得的一份。

2 利未人在兄弟中必没有产业， 耶和华就是他们的产业， 正如耶和华应许他们的。

3 "祭司从人民应得的分是这样： 人无论是献牛或是献羊， 要把前腿、两腮和胃给祭司。

4 你也要把初熟的五谷、新酒、新油和初剪的羊毛给他。

5 因为耶和华你的 神从你的各支派中把他拣选出来， 使他和他的子孙， 可以常常奉耶和华的名侍立供祭司的职。

6 "如果有住在以色列中任何一座城里的利未人， 离开了那里， 一心一意到耶和华选择的地方去，

7 他就可以奉耶和华他的 神的名供职， 像他的众兄弟利未人在那里侍立在耶和华面前一样。

8 除了他从父家承受的产业以外， 他还可以得着和他的兄弟相等分量的祭物。

9 "你到了耶和华你的 神要赐给你的那地的时候， 那些外族人可厌可恶的事， 你不可学习去行。

10 在你中间不可有人把自己的儿女献作火祭， 也不可有占卜的、算命的、用法术的、行邪术的、

11 念咒的、问鬼的、行巫术的、过阴的。

12 因为行这些事的， 都是耶和华厌恶的； 就是因为这些可厌可恶的事的缘故， 耶和华你的 神才把他们从你的面前赶走。

13 你要在耶和华你的 神面前作完全人。

14 "因为你要赶走的那些民族， 都听从算命的和占卜的； 至于你， 耶和华你的 神却不容许你这样行。

15 "耶和华你的 神要从你中间， 就是从你的众兄弟中间， 给你兴起一位先知来， 像我一样； 你们要听从他。

16 这正是你在何烈山开大会的日子， 求耶和华你的 神的一切话， 说： ‘不要让我再听见耶和华我的 神的声音了； 也不要让我再看见这大火了， 免得我死亡。’

17 耶和华对我说： ‘他们所说的都很好。

18 我要从他们的兄弟中间， 给他们兴起一位先知， 像你一样； 我要把我的话放在他口里， 他必把我吩咐他们的一切话都对他们说。

19 如果有人不听从他奉我的名所说的话， 我必亲自追讨那人的罪。

20 "‘不过， 如果有先知擅自奉我的名， 说我没有吩咐他说的话， 或是奉别神的名说话， 那先知就必须处死。’

21 如果你心里说： ‘耶和华没有说过的话， 我们怎能知道呢？’

22 一位先知奉耶和华的名说话， 如果那话不成就， 也不应验， 这话就不是耶和华说的； 是那先知擅自说的， 你不要怕他。"
