1 Yahweh said to Moses, "Behold, I have made you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. 2 You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall speak to Pharaoh, that he let the children of Israel go out of his land. 3 I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, and multiply my signs and my wonders in the land of Egypt. 4 But Pharaoh will not listen to you, so I will lay my hand on Egypt, and bring out my armies, my people the children of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great judgments. 5 The Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh when I stretch out my hand on Egypt, and bring the children of Israel out from among them."

6 Moses and Aaron did so. As Yahweh commanded them, so they did. 7 Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.

8 Yahweh spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 9 "When Pharaoh speaks to you, saying, ‘Perform a miracle!’ then you shall tell Aaron, ‘Take your rod, and cast it down before Pharaoh, and it will become a serpent.’"

10 Moses and Aaron went in to Pharaoh, and they did so, as Yahweh had commanded. Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh and before his servants, and it became a serpent. 11 Then Pharaoh also called for the wise men and the sorcerers. They also, the magicians of Egypt, did the same thing with their enchantments. 12 For they each cast down their rods, and they became serpents; but Aaron’s rod swallowed up their rods. 13 Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken.

14 Yahweh said to Moses, "Pharaoh’s heart is stubborn. He refuses to let the people go. 15 Go to Pharaoh in the morning. Behold, he is going out to the water. You shall stand by the river’s bank to meet him. You shall take the rod which was turned to a serpent in your hand. 16 You shall tell him, ‘Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to you, saying, "Let my people go, that they may serve me in the wilderness. Behold, until now you haven’t listened." 17 Yahweh says, "In this you shall know that I am Yahweh. Behold: I will strike with the rod that is in my hand on the waters which are in the river, and they shall be turned to blood. 18 The fish that are in the river will die and the river will become foul. The Egyptians will loathe to drink water from the river."’" 19 Yahweh said to Moses, "Tell Aaron, ‘Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their streams, and over their pools, and over all their ponds of water, that they may become blood. There will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’"

20 Moses and Aaron did so, as Yahweh commanded; and he lifted up the rod, and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants; and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood. 21 The fish that were in the river died. The river became foul. The Egyptians couldn’t drink water from the river. The blood was throughout all the land of Egypt. 22 The magicians of Egypt did the same thing with their enchantments. So Pharaoh’s heart was hardened, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken. 23 Pharaoh turned and went into his house, and he didn’t even take this to heart. 24 All the Egyptians dug around the river for water to drink; for they couldn’t drink the river water. 25 Seven days were fulfilled, after Yahweh had struck the river.

1 耶和华对摩西说： "看哪， 我使你在法老面前好像 神一样； 你哥哥亚伦要作你的先知。

2 我吩咐你的一切， 你都要说； 你哥哥亚伦要告诉法老， 法老就让以色列人离开他的地。

3 我要使法老心硬， 我也要在埃及地加增我的神迹奇事。

4 可是法老不听你们的话， 我必下手击打埃及； 借着严厉的刑罚把我的军队， 我的人民以色列人， 从埃及地领出来。

5 我向埃及伸手， 把以色列人从他们中间领出来的时候， 埃及人就必知道我是耶和华。"

6 摩西和亚伦这样行了； 耶和华怎样吩咐摩西和亚伦， 他们就照样行了。

7 摩西和亚伦与法老说话的时候， 摩西八十岁， 亚伦八十三岁。

8 耶和华告诉摩西和亚伦说：

9 "如果法老告诉你们说： ‘你们行件奇事吧’， 你就要对亚伦说： ‘拿你的手杖来， 把它丢在法老面前， 它就会变作蛇。’"

10 摩西和亚伦就进到法老那里， 照着耶和华吩咐他们的行了； 亚伦把手杖丢在法老和法老的臣仆面前， 手杖就变了蛇。

11 于是， 法老也把智慧人和行法术的人召了来； 他们本是埃及的术士， 也用他们的巫术照样行了。

12 他们各人都丢下自己的手杖， 手杖就变了蛇； 亚伦的手杖却吞了他们的手杖。

13 法老心里刚硬， 不肯听他们的话， 就像耶和华所说的一样。

14 耶和华对摩西说： "法老心里固执， 拒绝让人民离去。

15 明天早晨你要到法老那里去。看哪， 法老出来到水边去的时候， 你要站在河边迎见他； 那变过蛇的手杖， 你要拿在手里。

16 你要对法老说： ‘耶和华希伯来人的 神差我到你这里来， 说： "让我的人民离开这里， 好使他们可以在旷野事奉我"， 你看， 直到现在你还是不听。

17 耶和华这样说： "看哪， 我要用我手里的杖击打河中的水， 水就必变成血； 因此你就知道我是耶和华。

18 河中的鱼必死亡， 河水也必发臭， 埃及人就必厌恶喝这河里的水。"’"

19 耶和华对摩西说： "你要对亚伦说： ‘拿你的手杖来， 把你的手伸在埃及的众水之上， 就是在他们的江、河、池和所有水塘之上， 使水都变成血。因此， 在埃及全地， 连木器石器中都必有血。’"

20 摩西和亚伦就这样行了， 就像耶和华所吩咐的； 亚伦在法老面前和法老的臣仆面前举起手杖， 击打河里的水， 河里的水就都变了血。

21 河里的鱼死了， 河水发臭了， 埃及人也不能喝这河里的水了； 在埃及， 全地都有血。

22 埃及的术士也用他们的巫术这样行了； 可是法老却心里刚硬， 不肯听摩西和亚伦， 就像耶和华所说的。

23 法老转身回到宫里去， 也不把这事放在心上。

24 所有的埃及人都在河的周围掘地， 要得水喝， 因为他们不能喝这河里的水。

25 耶和华击打尼罗河以后， 满了七天。
