1 In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw the Lord sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple. 2 Above him stood the seraphim. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew. 3 One called to another, and said,

"Holy, holy, holy, is Yahweh of Armies!

The whole earth is full of his glory!"

4 The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke. 5 Then I said, "Woe is me! For I am undone, because I am a man of unclean lips and I live among a people of unclean lips, for my eyes have seen the King, Yahweh of Armies!"

6 Then one of the seraphim flew to me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar. 7 He touched my mouth with it, and said, "Behold, this has touched your lips; and your iniquity is taken away, and your sin forgiven."

8 I heard the Lord’s voice, saying, "Whom shall I send, and who will go for us?"

Then I said, "Here I am. Send me!"

9 He said, "Go, and tell this people,

‘You hear indeed,

but don’t understand.

You see indeed,

but don’t perceive.’

10 Make the heart of this people fat.

Make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes;

lest they see with their eyes,

hear with their ears,

understand with their heart,

and turn again, and be healed."

11 Then I said, "Lord, how long?"

He answered,

"Until cities are waste without inhabitant,

houses without man,

the land becomes utterly waste,

12 and Yahweh has removed men far away,

and the forsaken places are many within the land.

13 If there is a tenth left in it,

that also will in turn be consumed,

as a terebinth, and as an oak whose stump remains when they are cut down,

so the holy seed is its stump."

1 乌西雅王去世那年， 我看见主坐在高高的宝座上， 他的衣裳垂下， 充满圣殿。

2 在他上面有撒拉弗侍立， 各有六个翅膀； 用两个翅膀遮脸， 两个翅膀遮脚， 两个翅膀飞翔。

3 他们彼此高呼着说： "圣哉！ 圣哉！ 圣哉！ 万军之耶和华！ 他的荣光充满全地。"

4 因呼叫者的声音， 门槛的根基震撼， 殿也充满了烟云。

5 那时我说： "我有祸了， 我灭亡了！ 因为我是个嘴唇不洁的人， 又住在嘴唇不洁的人民中间， 又因为我亲眼看见了大君王万军之耶和华。"

6 有一个撒拉弗飞到我面前， 手里拿着烧红的炭， 是用火钳从祭坛上取来的。

7 他用炭沾我的口， 说： "看哪！ 这炭沾了你的嘴唇， 你的罪孽就除掉， 你的罪恶就赦免了。"

8 我又听见主的声音说： "我可以差遣谁呢？谁肯为我们去呢？"我说： "我在这里， 请差遣我。"

9 他说： "你去告诉这子民， 说： ‘你们听了又听， 却不明白； 看了又看， 却不晓得。’

10 你要使这子民的心思迟钝， 耳朵不灵， 眼睛昏暗， 免得他们眼睛看见， 耳朵听见， 心里明白， 回转过来， 得到医治。"

11 于是我说： "主啊， 这要到几时为止呢？"他回答说： "直到城镇荒凉， 无人居住； 房屋空置无人， 地土废弃荒凉。

12 耶和华要把人迁到远方， 在这境内必有很多被撇下的地土。

13 境内剩下的人， 虽然只有十分之一， 也必被消灭。但正如栗树和橡树， 虽然被砍下， 树的余干还存留在那里。这圣洁的苗裔， 就是这国的余干。"
