1 "Say to your brothers, ‘My people!’
and to your sisters, ‘My loved one!’
2 Contend with your mother!
Contend, for she is not my wife,
neither am I her husband;
and let her put away her prostitution from her face,
and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3 lest I strip her naked,
and make her bare as in the day that she was born,
and make her like a wilderness,
and set her like a dry land,
and kill her with thirst.
4 Indeed, on her children I will have no mercy,
for they are children of unfaithfulness.
5 For their mother has played the prostitute.
She who conceived them has done shamefully;
for she said, ‘I will go after my lovers,
who give me my bread and my water,
my wool and my flax,
my oil and my drink.’
6 Therefore behold, I will hedge up your way with thorns,
and I will build a wall against her,
that she can’t find her way.
7 She will follow after her lovers,
but she won’t overtake them;
and she will seek them,
but won’t find them.
Then she will say, ‘I will go and return to my first husband,
for then it was better with me than now.’
8 For she didn’t know that I gave her the grain, the new wine, and the oil,
and multiplied to her silver and gold, which they used for Baal.
9 Therefore I will take back my grain in its time,
and my new wine in its season,
and will pluck away my wool and my flax which should have covered her nakedness.
10 Now I will uncover her lewdness in the sight of her lovers,
and no one will deliver her out of my hand.
11 I will also cause all her celebrations to cease:
her feasts, her new moons, her Sabbaths, and all her solemn assemblies.
12 I will lay waste her vines and her fig trees,
about which she has said, ‘These are my wages that my lovers have given me,’
and I will make them a forest,
and the animals of the field shall eat them.
13 I will visit on her the days of the Baals,
to which she burned incense
when she decked herself with her earrings and her jewels,
and went after her lovers
and forgot me," says Yahweh.
14 "Therefore behold, I will allure her,
and bring her into the wilderness,
and speak tenderly to her.
15 I will give her vineyards from there,
and the valley of Achor for a door of hope;
and she will respond there
as in the days of her youth,
and as in the day when she came up out of the land of Egypt.
16 It will be in that day," says Yahweh,
"that you will call me ‘my husband,’
and no longer call me ‘my master.’
17 For I will take away the names of the Baals out of her mouth,
and they will no longer be mentioned by name.
18 In that day I will make a covenant for them with the animals of the field,
and with the birds of the sky,
and with the creeping things of the ground.
I will break the bow, the sword, and the battle out of the land,
and will make them lie down safely.
19 I will betroth you to me forever.
Yes, I will betroth you to me in righteousness, in justice, in loving kindness, and in compassion.
20 I will even betroth you to me in faithfulness;
and you shall know Yahweh.
21 It will happen in that day, that I will respond," says Yahweh.
"I will respond to the heavens,
and they will respond to the earth;
22 and the earth will respond to the grain, and the new wine, and the oil;
and they will respond to Jezreel.
23 I will sow her to me in the earth;
and I will have mercy on her who had not obtained mercy;
and I will tell those who were not my people, ‘You are my people;’
and they will say, ‘You are My God!’"
1 "你们要对你们的兄弟说： ‘我的子民’； 要对你们的姊妹说： ‘蒙怜悯的’。
2 要与你们的母亲争论， 你们要争论， 因为她不是我的妻子， 我也不是她的丈夫； 好让她除掉脸上的淫相， 和乳间的淫态，
3 免得我把她剥光， 赤身露体， 使她像刚生下来的那天一样； 又使她像旷野， 像无水的旱地一般， 叫她因干渴而死。
4 我必不怜恤她的儿子， 因为他们是像娼妓的儿女；
5 因为他们的母亲卖了淫， 怀他们的作了羞耻的事； 因为她曾说： ‘我要跟随我那些爱人。我的饼和水， 羊毛和麻布， 油和我所喝的， 都是他们给的。’
6 因此， 我要用荆棘堵塞她的通道， 我要筑墙围住她， 使她找不着出路。
7 她要追赶她那些爱人， 却追不上； 要寻找他们， 却找不着。她就说： ‘我要回去， 回到前夫那里， 因为从前比现在好得多了。’
8 其实她不知道， 是我把五谷、新酒、橄榄油赐给了她； 甚至他们用来制造巴力的金银， 也是我大量给她的；
9 因此， 到了收割的时候， 到了出酒的季节， 我必收回五谷和新酒； 用来给她遮蔽裸体的羊毛和麻布， 我也必夺回。
10 那时， 我要在她那些爱人眼前， 暴露她的下体； 也没有人能救她脱离我的手。
11 我必使她的一切欢乐、节期、新月、安息日， 或任何盛会都终止。
12 我必毁坏她的葡萄树和无花果树， 就是她曾说： ‘这是我作妓女所赚的， 是我那些爱人给我的。’我必使这些果树成为荒林， 任由田野的走兽吃掉。
13 她在拜众巴力的日子， 向他们烧香， 佩戴耳环首饰， 打扮自己， 跟随她那些爱人， 却把我遗忘， 所以我必惩罚她。"这是耶和华说的。
14 "因此， 我要诱导她， 领她到旷野， 对她说安慰的话。
15 在那里我要把葡萄园归还给她， 使亚割谷变成‘希望之门’。她必在那里回应， 像她少年的时候一样， 也像她从埃及地上来的那天一般。"
16 耶和华说： "到那日， 你必称呼我‘伊施’（"伊施"意即"我夫"）， 不再称呼我‘巴力’（"巴力"意即"我主"）。
17 我要把‘巴力’的名字从她口中除掉； 他们的名字没有人再提起。
18 到那日， 为了他们， 我必和田野的走兽、空中的飞鸟、地上的爬虫立约； 我必从这地折断弓弩、刀剑和兵器； 使他们安然居住。
19 我必聘你永远归我， 以公义、正直、忠信和怜悯聘你归我。
20 我必以信实聘你归我； 这样， 你就必认识耶和华。"
21 耶和华说： "到那日， 我必应允， 我必应允天， 天必应允地，
22 地必应允五谷、新酒和油。这些必应允耶斯列（"耶斯列"意即"栽种"）。
23 我必为了自己把她栽种在这地。我必怜恤那些不蒙怜恤的。我必对那些不是我的子民说： ‘你是我的子民’， 他们必说： ‘你是我们的 神。’"
