6 Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time, 7 casting all your worries on him, because he cares for you.
5 He who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." He said, "Write, for these words of God are faithful and true."
22 Cast your burden on the LORD and he will sustain you.
He will never allow the righteous to be moved.
1 I love the LORD, because he listens to my voice,
and my cries for mercy.
2 Because he has turned his ear to me,
therefore I will call on him as long as I live.
8 The LORD himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged."
26 But the Counsellor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things, and will remind you of all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Don’t let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
5 For his anger is but for a moment.
His favour is for a lifetime.
Weeping may stay for the night,
but joy comes in the morning.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they shall be comforted.
17 Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.
22 Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
16 I will pray to the Father, and he will give you another Counsellor, that he may be with you forever: 17 the Spirit of truth, whom the world can’t receive, for it doesn’t see him and doesn’t know him. You know him, for he lives with you and will be in you. 18 I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction,
for your word has revived me.
5 For as the sufferings of Christ abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through Christ.
7 The LORD is good, a stronghold in the day of trouble; and he knows those who take refuge in him.
8 You count my wanderings.
You put my tears into your container.
Aren’t they in your book?
24 For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted,
Neither has he hidden his face from him;
but when he cried to him, he heard.
9 The LORD will also be a high tower for the oppressed;
a high tower in times of trouble.
48 I reach out my hands for your commandments, which I love.
I will meditate on your statutes.
49 Remember your word to your servant,
because you gave me hope.
50 This is my comfort in my affliction,
for your word has revived me.
51 The arrogant mock me excessively,
but I don’t swerve from your law.
52 I remember your ordinances of old, LORD,
and have comforted myself.
4 One thing I have asked of the LORD, that I will seek after:
that I may dwell in the LORD’s house all the days of my life,
to see the LORD’s beauty,
and to enquire in his temple.
5 For in the day of trouble, he will keep me secretly in his pavilion.
In the secret place of his tabernacle, he will hide me.
He will lift me up on a rock.
20 You, who have shown us many and bitter troubles,
you will let me live.
You will bring us up again from the depths of the earth.
21 Increase my honour
and comfort me again.
1 God is our refuge and strength,
a very present help in trouble.
11 For I know the thoughts that I think towards you," says the LORD, "thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.
