5 Blessed are those whose strength is in you,
who have set their hearts on a pilgrimage.
7 They go from strength to strength.
Every one of them appears before God in Zion.
8 The LORD himself is who goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you nor forsake you. Don’t be afraid. Don’t be discouraged."
47 and that all this assembly may know that the LORD doesn’t save with sword and spear; for the battle is the LORD’s, and he will give you into our hand."
7 "Be strong and courageous. Don’t be afraid or dismayed because of the king of Assyria, nor for all the multitude who is with him; for there is a greater one with us than with him. 8 An arm of flesh is with him, but the LORD our God is with us to help us and to fight our battles." The people rested themselves on the words of Hezekiah king of Judah.
9 He will keep the feet of his holy ones,
but the wicked will be put to silence in darkness;
for no man will prevail by strength.
8 It is better to take refuge in the LORD,
than to put confidence in man.
10 One man of you shall chase a thousand; for it is the LORD your God who fights for you, as he spoke to you.
15 For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel, "You will be saved in returning and rest. Your strength will be in quietness and in confidence." You refused,
6 Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, "This is the LORD’s word to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD of Armies.
5 My soul, wait in silence for God alone,
for my expectation is from him.
1 When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses, chariots, and a people more numerous than you, you shall not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, is with you.
5 Trust in the LORD with all your heart,
and don’t lean on your own understanding.
6 In all your ways acknowledge him,
and he will make your paths straight.
7 He will not be afraid of evil news.
His heart is steadfast, trusting in the LORD.
8 His heart is established.
He will not be afraid in the end when he sees his adversaries.
5 My steps have held fast to your paths.
My feet have not slipped.
8 Cause me to hear your loving kindness in the morning,
for I trust in you.
Cause me to know the way in which I should walk,
for I lift up my soul to you.
4 For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world: your faith.
5 I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me and I in him bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.
6 Jonathan said to the young man who bore his armour, "Come! Let’s go over to the garrison of these uncircumcised. It may be that the LORD will work for us, for there is no restraint on the LORD to save by many or by few."
1 Judge me, LORD, for I have walked in my integrity.
I have trusted also in LORD without wavering.
13 Moses said to the people, "Don’t be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the LORD, which he will work for you today; for you will never again see the Egyptians whom you have seen today. 14 The LORD will fight for you, and you shall be still."
11 Give us help against the adversary,
for the help of man is vain.
