22 For whereas the Jews demand signs, and the Greeks seek wisdom, We preach Christ crucified,

23 to the Jews a stumbling block, and to the Greeks foolishness:

24 But to them that are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

2 be instant in season, out of season; convince, rebuke, exhort, with all long-suffering and teaching.

30 And Philip running to him, heard him read the prophet Isaiah, and said, Understandest thou what thou readest?

31 And he said, How can I, unless some one guide me?

32 And he desired Philip to come up, and sit with him. The portion of scripture which he was reading, was this, He was led as a sheep to the slaughter, and like a lamb dumb before his shearer, so he opened not his mouth.

14 But how shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in him, of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher?

15 But how shall they preach, unless they be sent? As it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them who bring the good tidings of peace, who bring the glad tidings of good things!

16 But all have not obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?

17 Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel; for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth, both to the Jew and to the Gentile.

17 For the righteousness of God is revealed therein from faith to faith; as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

4 But he answering said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

11 These were more ingenuous than those of Thessalonica, receiving the word with all readiness of mind, and daily searching the scriptures, whether those things were so?

21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

35 Then Philip opening his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached Jesus to him.

12 For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder both of the soul and spirit, both of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

7 And as ye go, proclaim, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from Christ who called you by his grace to another gospel, Which is not another;

7 but there are some that trouble you, and would subvert the gospel of Christ.

8 But if we or an angel from heaven preach to you another gospel than we have preached to you, let him be accursed:

9 As we have said before, so I say now again, if any preach to you another gospel than that ye received, let him be accursed.

4 For whatsoever things were written aforetime, were written for our instruction, that we, through patience and consolation of the scriptures, may have hope.

17 Sanctify them thro' the truth: thy word is truth.

18 I testify to every one that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, if any man add to them, God shall add to him the plagues that are written in this book.

19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part of the tree of life, and the holy city, which are written in this book.

39 Search the scriptures: in them ye think ye have eternal life: and it is they that testify of me.

16 All scripture is inspired of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things which are freely given to us of God.

13 Which also we speak, not in words taught by human wisdom, but in those taught by the Holy Spirit, explaining spiritual things by spiritual words.

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit; for they are foolishness to him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

17 I know not that I baptized any other. For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel; but not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.

20 Knowing this before that no scripture prophecy is of any private interpretation.

21 For prophecy never came by the will of man, but the holy men of God spake being moved by the Holy Ghost.

35 Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.

25 But the word of the Lord endureth for ever. And this is the word which is preached to you by the gospel.

15 And that from an infant thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation, thro' faith which is in Christ Jesus.

16 All scripture is inspired of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness;

17 That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works.

15 Be diligent to present thyself unto God approved a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

18 And Jesus came and spake to them, saying, All power is given me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye and disciple all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you; and lo I am with you always, even to the end of the world.

13 Till I come, give thyself to reading, to exhortation, to teaching.

2 And Paul, according to his custom, went in to them, and three sabbath-days discoursed with them from the scriptures,

3 Opening them and evincing, That Christ ought to suffer, and to rise from the dead, and that this is the Christ, even Jesus, whom I declare unto you.

25 Then he said to them, O foolish, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken!

26 Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory?

27 And beginning at Moses and all the prophets, he explained to them the things in all the scriptures, concerning himself.

15 And account the long-suffering of our Lord salvation, as our beloved brother Paul also, according to the wisdom given him , hath written to you:

16 As also in all his epistles, speaking therein of these things, in which are some things hard to be understood, which the unlearned and unstable wrest, as they do also the other scriptures, to their own destruction.

9 But ye are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a purchased people, that ye may shew forth the virtues of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Who in time past were not a people, but now are the people of God;
