12 All things are lawful for me; but all things are not expedient: all things are lawful for me; but I will not be brought under the power of any.

41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing; but the flesh is weak.

8 for your adversary the devil, walketh about as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour:

4 By which he hath given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these, having escaped the corruption which is in the world thro' desire, ye may become partakers of the divine nature:

13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.

16 I say then, walk by the Spirit, and fulfil not the desire of the flesh.

2 Ye desire and have not, ye kill, and envy, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; yet ye have not, because ye ask not.

10 For the love of money is the root of all evils; which some coveting, have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.

7 What shall we say then? That the law is sin? God forbid. Yea, I should not have known sin, but for the law. I had not known lust, unless the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

4 Marriage is honourable in all men, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.

16 For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eye, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

13 Let no man when he is tempted say, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man.

13 Brethren, ye have been called to liberty: only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

2 Yet, to avoid fornication, let every man have his own wife; and let every woman have her own husband.

17 And the world passeth away, and the desire thereof; but he that doth the will of God abideth for ever.

1 Brethren, if a man be overtaken in any fault, ye who are spiritual restore such an one in the spirit of meekness; considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.

13 There hath no temptation taken you, but such as is common to man; and God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above your ability, but will with the temptation make also a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

21 For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

5 Mortify therefore your members which are upon the earth, fornication, uncleanness, inordinate affection, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry:
