15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world: if any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?

33 I have spoken these things to you, that ye may have peace in me. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but take courage: I have overcome the world.

10 For godly sorrow worketh repentance unto salvation not to be repented of, whereas the sorrow of the world worketh death.

20 For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:

1 Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Sons of God; therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

7 For we brought nothing into the world: it is manifest that neither can we carry any thing out.

8 Having then food and covering, with these let us be content.

4 Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.

19 but he that is born of God keepeth himself, and the wicked one toucheth him not. We know, that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in the wicked one.

9 This was the true light, who lighteth every man that cometh into the world.

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him; yet the world knew him not.

18 Let none deceive himself: if any one among you thinketh himself to be wise, let him become a fool in this world, that he may become wise.

4 By which he hath given us exceeding great and precious promises, that by these, having escaped the corruption which is in the world thro' desire, ye may become partakers of the divine nature:

20 Where is the wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the disputer of this world? Hath not God made foolish the wisdom of this world?

21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.

20 For those things of him which are invisible, both his eternal power and Godhead, are clearly seen from the creation of the world, being understood by the things which are made, so that they are without excuse:

14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached to all the world, for a testimony to all nations: and then shall the end come.

18 If the world hate you, ye know it hated me, before it hated you.

19 If ye were of the world, the world would love its own; but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.

13 Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savour, wherewith shall it be salted? It is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and to be trodden under foot of men.

14 Ye are the light of the world.

28 And the base things of the world, and things that are despised, hath God chosen; yea, things that are not, to bring to nought the things that are; That no flesh may glory before him.

29 But of him are ye in Christ Jesus, who is made by God unto us wisdom,

15 And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

31 Now is the judgment of this world: now shall the prince of this world be cast out.

4 Ye adulterers and adultresses, know ye not, that the friendship of the world is enmity against God? Whosoever therefore desireth to be a friend of the world, is an enemy of God.

27 But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world, to shame the wise, and the weak things of the world, to shame the things that are mighty:

2 and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

33 I have spoken these things to you, that ye may have peace in me. In the world ye shall have tribulation; but take courage: I have overcome the world.

7 Wo to the world because of offences: for it must needs be that offences come; but wo to that man by whom the offence cometh.

8 Beware lest any man make a prey of you through philosophy and empty deceit, after the traditions of men, after the rudiments of this world, and not after Christ.

12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God, that we may know the things which are freely given to us of God.

7 But I tell you the truth; it is expedient for you that I go: for if I go not, the Comforter will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send him to you.

8 And he coming will convince the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment:

9 Of sin, because they believe not on me;

10 Of righteousness, because I go to the Father, and ye see me no more;

11 Of judgment, because the prince of this world is judged.

13 And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous. Marvel not, my brethren, if the world hate you.

4 Ye are of God, beloved children, and have overcome them; because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

14 I have given them thy word, and the world hath hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, may not perish, but have everlasting life.

16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, may not perish, but have everlasting life.

12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the world, of the darkness of this age, against wicked spirits in heavenly places.

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give, in exchange for his soul?

19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

15 And he said to them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

1 Behold what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the Sons of God; therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

19 Now we know that whatsoever the law saith, it saith to them that are under the law; that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world be found guilty before God.

4 For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

4 For whosoever is born of God overcometh the world; and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.

7 For we brought nothing into the world: it is manifest that neither can we carry any thing out.

8 Having then food and covering, with these let us be content.

17 And the world passeth away, and the desire thereof; but he that doth the will of God abideth for ever.

3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspoted from the world.

2 And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you; not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world: if any one love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

16 For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eye, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

2 And be not conformed to this world, but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world and lose his own soul? Or what shall a man give, in exchange for his soul?

15 I do not pray, that thou wouldest take them out of the world, but that thou wouldest keep them from the evil one.

11 For the saving grace of God hath appeared to all men,

12 Teaching us, that, having renounced ungodliness and all wordly desires, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly in the present world,

10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him; yet the world knew him not.

16 For all that is in the world, the desire of the flesh, and the desire of the eye, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.

12 Then spake Jesus again to them, saying, I am the light of the world; he that followeth me, shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.

15 I do not pray, that thou wouldest take them out of the world, but that thou wouldest keep them from the evil one.

16 They are not of the world, as I am not of the world.

17 Sanctify them thro' the truth: thy word is truth.

18 As thou hast sent me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

27 Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspoted from the world.

25 Righteous Father, tho' the world hath not known thee, yet I have known thee, and these have known that thou hast sent me.

26 And I have declared to them thy name, and will declare it, that the love wherewith thou hast loved me, may be in them, and I in them.

36 For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?
