37 Pilate said to him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest. I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I might bear witness to the truth.
30 And the angel said to her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.
31 And behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.
32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest; and the Lord God shall give him the throne of his father David.
33 And he shall reign over the house of Jacob; for ever, and of his kingdom there shall be no end.
4 And Joseph also went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth into Judea, to the city of David, which is called Bethlehem,
5 (because he was of the family and houshold of David) To be inrolled with Mary, his espoused wife, being great with child.
6 And while they were there, the days were fulfilled, that she should be delivered.
7 And she brought forth her son, the first-born, and swathed him, and laid him in the manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
17 Wherefore it behoved him to be made in all things like his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high-priest, in things pertaining to God, to expiate the sins of the people.
16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him, may not perish, but have everlasting life.
14 Since then the children partake of flesh and blood, he also himself in like manner took part of the same, that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil:
15 And deliver them, as many as through fear of death, were all their life-time subject to bondage.
4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son,
5 made of a woman, made under the law, To redeem those under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.
9 And having heard the king, they departed; and lo the star which they had seen in the East, moved on before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was.
10 And seeing the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy.
11 And being come into the house, they saw the young child, with Mary his mother; and falling down, they worshiped him. And opening their treasures, they presented to him gifts, gold, frankincense, and myrrh.
12 And being warned of God in a dream, not to return to Herod, they went back into their own country another way.
20 But while he was thinking on these things, behold an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take to thee Mary thy wife; for that which is begotten in her, is of the Holy Ghost.
21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus; for he shall save his people from their sins.
22 (Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled, which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet,
23 saying, Behold the virgin shall be with child, and bring forth a Son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is, being interpreted, God with us.)
24 Then Joseph, being raised from sleep, did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife:
25 But he knew her not, till she had brought forth her Son, the first-born. And he called his name Jesus.
15 And when the angels were gone away from them into heaven, the shepherds said one to another, Let us go to Bethlehem, and see this thing which is done, which the Lord hath made known to us.
16 And they came with haste, and found Mary and Joseph and the babe lying in the manger.
17 And having seen it, they made known abroad the saying which was told them concerning this child.
18 And all that heard wondered at the things which were told them by the shepherds.
10 And the angel said to them, Fear not; for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people.
11 For to you is born this day in the city of David, a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.
12 And this shall be a sign to you; ye shall find the babe, wrapped in swaddling-clothes, lying in a manger.
18 Now the birth of Christ was on this wise: His mother Mary, being espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,
6 Who being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God;
7 Yet emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men.
8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, yea, the death of the cross.
