8 Draw nigh to God and he will draw nigh to you: cleanse your hands, ye sinners, and purify your hearts, ye double-minded.
17 Pray without ceasing: In every thing give thanks;
7 Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.
8 For every one that asketh, receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
22 And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
14 And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
2 Ye desire and have not, ye kill, and envy, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war; yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
6 Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God:
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
5 If any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men liberally and upbraideth not, and it shall be given him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord.
8 A double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.
25 But at midnight Paul and Silas having prayed, sung an hymn to God: and the prisoners heard them.
20 For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.
24 Hitherto ye have asked nothing in my name: ask (and ye shall receive) that your joy may be full.
5 And when thou prayest, thou shall not be as the hypocrites; for they love to pray, standing in the synagogues, and in the corners of the streets, that they may appear to men: verily I say unto you, they have their reward.
24 Therefore I say to you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye shall receive, and ye shall have them.
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.
11 If ye then being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven, give good things to them that ask him?
31 And the Lord said, Simon, Simon, behold Satan hath desired to have you, that he might sift you as wheat.
32 But I have prayed for thee that thy faith fail not: and when thou art returned, strengthen thy brethren.
16 Confess your faults one to another, brethren, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed: the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
2 And he said to them, When ye pray, say, Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come: Thy will be done as in heaven, so on earth.
3 Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins; for we also forgive every one that is indebted to us. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
2 Continue in prayer, and watch therein with thanksgiving:
16 Confess your faults one to another, brethren, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed: the fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.
7 If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask whatsoever ye will, and it shall be done for you.
19 And my God shall supply all your need, according to his riches in glory through Christ Jesus.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
7 Ask and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find; knock and it shall be opened to you.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified thro' the Son.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified thro' the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
20 Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
9 because he is his friend, yet, because of his importunity, he will rise and give him as many as he needeth. And I say to you, Ask, and it shall be given you, seek and ye shall find, knock and it shall be opened to you.
10 For every one that asketh receiveth, and he that seeketh findeth, and to him that knocketh, it shall be opened.
20 He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God,
21 And being fully assured, that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.
26 Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought; but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us, with groanings which cannot be uttered.
27 But he who searcheth the hearts, knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit: for he maketh intercession for the saints, according to God.
15 And if we know that he heareth us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we asked of him.
16 Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
39 And going a little farther, he fell on his face and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; yet not as I will, but as thou wilt.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking.
20 Now to him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
8 I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting:
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and having shut thy door, pray to thy Father who is in secret, and thy Father, who seeth in secret, shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking.
1 And he spake a parable to them to this end, that they ought always to pray, and not to faint;
2 Saying, There was in a certain city a judge who feared not God nor reverenced man.
3 And there was a widow in that city, and she came to him, saying, Do me justice on mine adversary.
4 And he would not for a while, but afterwards he said in himself, Tho' I fear not God nor reverence man,
5 Yet because this widow giveth me trouble, I will do her justice, left by her continual coming she weary me out.
6 And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith?
7 And shall not God vindicate his own elect, who cry to him day and night, though he bear long with them?
8 I tell you he will vindicate them speedily. Yet when the Son of man cometh, will he find faith upon earth?
25 Wherefore he is able also, to save them to the uttermost who come to God thro' him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.
18 Verily I say to you, Whatsoever ye shall bind on earth, shall be bound in heaven, and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth, shall be loosed in heaven.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathens; for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not therefore like them; for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
6 But let him ask in faith, nothing doubting: for he that doubteth is like a wave of the sea, driven with the wind and tossed.
7 For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing from the Lord.
9 Thus therefore pray ye, Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.
10 Thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.
11 Give us this day our daily bread.
12 And forgive us our debts, as we also forgive our debtors.
13 And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen.
24 Therefore I say to you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye shall receive, and ye shall have them.
16 Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and appointed you that ye may go and bear fruit, and your fruit may remain; that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you.
27 But I say to you that hear, Love your enemies; do good to them that hate you,
28 Bless them that curse you, pray for them that despitefully use you.
6 But without faith it is impossible to please him; for he that cometh to God, must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
24 Therefore I say to you, What things soever ye ask in prayer, believe that ye shall receive, and ye shall have them.
18 which is the word of God, Praying alway by the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
6 Be careful for nothing, but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God:
8 I will therefore that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, without wrath and doubting:
12 Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, continue instant in prayer.
8 Concerning this, I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me.
9 But he said to me, My grace is sufficient for thee; for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my weaknesses, that the strength of Christ may rest upon me.
14 These all continued unanimously in prayer and supplication with the women, and Mary, the mother of Jesus, and his brethren.
16 Rejoice evermore:
17 Pray without ceasing: In every thing give thanks;
18 for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
13 And whatsoever ye shall ask in my name, I will do it, that the Father may be glorified thro' the Son.
14 If ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it.
18 which is the word of God, Praying alway by the Spirit with all prayer and supplication, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints,
22 And all things whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.
21 Howbeit this kind goeth not out, but by prayer and fasting.
14 And this is the confidence which we have in him, that if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us.
15 And if we know that he heareth us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we asked of him.
17 Pray without ceasing: In every thing give thanks;
7 But the end of all things is at hand; be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer.
